Four-Star Signee Herly Brutus Granted Release From LSU, Reopens Recruitment

Multiple reports indicate that four-star small forward Herly Brutus has been granted his release from LSU following the coaching changes in Baton Rouge.
The 6-6, 180-pounder from The Villages Charter School in The Villages, Fla., committed to former LSU head coach Matt McMahon in September of 2025 over Utah, Gonzaga, Saint Louis, South Florida, and Kansas State. He signed with the Tigers back in November.
Brutus is rated the No. 98 overall player in the country and the No. 37 small forward for 2026.
