THIBODAUX, La. – Nicholls took the lead in the bottom of the first inning Wednesday night at Ray E. Didier Field and didn't look back as the Colonels took down LSU in the midweek matchup, 4-2.

I'm not going to overreact about losing this game, but I'm tired of Manieri's body language and approach overall. He is completely uninspiring and it shows through the players. No killer instinct whatsoever.

This is the same hard-headed CPM we have seen before. He started Hal Hughes against Indiana. Based off what?? Hughes last years performance? CPM is just milking the LSU job for his $1,000,000 salary. You can see this season is going to develop the same as last year.

Great teams dont lose these types of games. And every year people defend Manieri saying he gets his teams to play hot at the end of the year. That's true but it doesnt result in winning the world series. LSU deserves a coach with a killer instinct.

Sigh at LSU fans. As a Bama fan, I'd trade your record for ours (4-0). Padding wins doesn't mean jack. Watch as Bama starts out 15-3 (or so) and then proceeds to only win 6 SEC games all year. You guys are fine, settle down.

And those guys say excited for the team they have and loaded with pitchers and the new hitting coach is like the Joe Brady for baseball, well damn if the players excited bout the team they have and thus how they play. It going to be another long season unless they shape up and every season ppl say Lsu has a deep pitching roster full of talented players. Well where is it lol

CPM needs to go. LSU's pitching staff is always thin and full of guys who can't compete in midweek games much less on the SEC weekends. This is a glaring and consistent recruiting problem. The players also reflect the attitude that midweek games are not important and if anyone doubts that all you have to do is look at the LSU record over the last few years vs. Midweek opponents. Players play just like they are coached and reflect the coaches attitude. Pathetic.
