Mikey Romero, a class of 2022 shortstop from Menifee, CA (Orange Lutheran) announced Thursday night that he has flipped his commitment from Arizona to LSU.

Romero's decision comes on the same day that LSU was able to hire Arizona baseball coach Jay Johnson away from Tucson.

Good news!! We need a shortstop who at least can bunt, and field a ground ball. Right now we don't have one!!!

Orange Lutheran appears to produce MLB prospects at an impressive rate. Would be nice to get that pipeline flowing to the Box. Believe one of LSU's softball players came from there as well.

Well when he signs his pro contract they'll be able to say he had committed to play baseball at LSU. Good recruiting pub I guess.

LSU has had some pretty good players from out West. Brad Cresse was from California and Alex Bregman was from Arizona. I don’t care where they come from as long as LSU wins with them.
