Arch Manning Has Removed 1 College Football Program From His List
© SCOTT CLAUSE/USA TODAY Network / USA TODAY NETWORK
According to a report from recruiting insider Steve Wiltfong, five-star QB recruit Arch Manning has removed the Clemson Tigers from his list. He visited Dabo Swinney and company twice, but apparently decided it wasn’t the place for him. Per 247Sports...
quote:

Manning is currently playing basketball and did not take any visits in January. There is evidence he is also narrowing his list, recently removing Clemson, another program he visited twice, from consideration.

From what I’ve seen, Walker Howard is better than Arch Manning. We will see if that continues into 2023.

SC isn't a state to spread the manning empire into. Why I think TX is #1, especially with them being in the SEC by the end of his career, and then I would say UGA as #2. The highest nil money won't seal the deal but this kid is def getting paid a bunch. His family steers him to the place, and he gets the money. Pretty good quid pro quo

Why, at all, would he need NIL money? I couldn't think of a prospect that needs it less. They are going to steer him to place they think can best prepare him for the league. Doesn't mean it's going to be the correct choice but petty NIL money will not be the driving force.

Ummm did I not say that nil money won't seal the deal? Do you really think they are going to leave money on the table to get the kid started? It's not a matter of need or not for the money, but that no one is going to not take advantage of the current accepted rules. That kid out of Southlake TX that skipped his SR yr to go to OSU probably didn't need the million dollars that was reported he got. I guess to you that's petty, but to an 18yo it's a nice start in life.

This is a family that grovels in a Caesar's sportsbokk commercial. Doesn't matter how much money they have, they have an insatiable greed for more.

his family is uber wealthy. NIL isn’t an issue with him.

If his name wasn't Manning he'd be a 3* just based on his size. I'm not buying the hype.

agreed. I watch him in the ESPN televised game and he didn’t look special at all. Small sample size, of course, but i was expecting to be blown away and it nothing close to that.

I’m not so sure Bama Georgia and Ole Miss would be courting him as much as they are if they didn’t think he was a top recruit.
