Things got so heated between two men on a Oklahoma golf course that one beat the heck out of the other with his putter, sending him to the hospital where he received three staples and 10 stitches in his head. Per GOLF.com...
quote:

The incident occurred at Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond, Okla., and began as a dispute between a single player and a foursome. The 55-year-old victim was allegedly attacked by 72-year-old William Hickman and 67-year-old Eddie Aday, a volunteer at the course. A spokesperson for the police department said that one of the men attacked with a putter.

The two men were later charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

"We don't normally have assault with a dangerous weapon calls at the golf course," the spokesperson said of the fight.

A 72 year old and a 67 year old went gangster on a 55 year old? That's a great commercial. These 2 need to get a sponsorship deal with Ensure or Boost.

Public golf courses are the worst. Instead of enjoying the game, many groups are mad at the group in front of them and the one behind them. It’s like road rage. And then you have the trashy guys who take off their shirts while they play. Have some dignity, low-lifes!

Kickingbird is a beautiful track and not at all typical of public courses. It is in a nice area of an affluant suburb of OKC. Sounds like ole boys had a few in them, which could happen anywhere.
