My two Daly stories...was a caddy in the pro am at bay hill. My guy was on the range ..two over was Daly hitting it through the range off the deck. One year, volunteering shot link at TPC #10..John puts it right by us in the trees...we move the gear..John walks up says hello...gets his yardage...flicks the cig down...pulls a club...carries through the V in a tree...to 8 ft and off he goes..maybe 45 seconds..minute tops

John is a man of the people but vodka and diet coke? Ugh. To each his own I guess.

How is he still alive? Impressive. Might have to start drinking "one drink" a day myself for longevity.

He may be in his early 50's but he's about 95 on the inside. Good to see him going strong though.

Coolest guy on the course. I've watched him several times. Once back in 04 at the Byron Nelson I followed him 4 holes and he smoked 4 cigs. All while drinking 3 diet cokes. American legend. 4 years ago I watched him on the senior tour and it was basically the same lol.

I read his book my life in the rough. He was trying to get on the golf team in college. The coach told him that he needed to get down to 170. He did meet that goal by by a healthy diet of popcorn and whiskey.
