Multiple sources are reporting that Georgia wide receiver AD Mitchell is entering the transfer portal after two seasons in Athens.

The Missouri City, Texas native played in 15 games in 2021 with 29 receptions for 426 yards and four touchdowns. His playing time and production dropped this past season, playing in just six games with nine receptions for 134 yards and three touchdowns.

Even with his low production, Mitchell showed up in big games, scoring in all four of Georgia's playoff and national championship games these last two years.

The Texas Longhorns are believed to be the favorite to land Mitchell.

Mitchell's ability to haul in contested catches will be missed. That said, we continue to have an embarrassment of riches at WR/TE, so we'll be fine.
