Four-star running back Toneil Carter from Houston, TX (Langham Creek) announced that he has decommitted from Georgia.

Carter said that his decision to back off his verbal pledge had to do with Nick Chubb and Sony Michel staying for their senior seasons and implied that there would not be a spot on the roster for him to enroll early.

Carter is the No. 7 running back in the country for the class of 2017.

I'm sorry, but I still can't get over the fact that this guy's name is pronounced "toenail."

Silly. I mean, I respect every recruit's right to choose what's best for him, and I'd take him in a heartbeat at Vandy, but both Chubb and Michel are gone after next year. He has a chance to develop under two top-notch RBs and be on the inside track to be the next great UGA runner in 2018.

his quote reads like he wants to enroll in for the spring and that isn't an option now at UGA with the two seniors coming back so he will go somewhere else. Same thing happened with Auburn, LSU and Pat Miller a few years back.
