Less than two outs, freeze on a line drive. You should learn that in Middle School.

Damn, I didn't even notice the deflection until I read the comments. Yeah, hard to blame the baserunners (especially at 2nd) on that one. The ball's original trajectory was right up the middle. Just a freak occurrence that it deflected off the pitcher's glove right towards the shortstop.

In the runners defense, they didn’t break for the next bag till the ball got past the pitcher. Never would have expected the ball to go straight to the short stop

Still cracks me up seeing how small softball infields are. Looks like a group of adult men playing a basketball game on a single car driveway.

Nothing stunning about the runners on 1st & 2nd being idiots and straying from their bags. It's not like the short stop had to make some heroic snow cone catch on the line drive for the first out. Routine catch of the liner and the rest was just the other team running themselves out of the inning.

The ball deflected off the pitcher right to the shortstop. In defense of the runner at 1st, there was really nothing she could do.

What the hell was the runner at first looking at?
