Former Florida head coach Jim McElwain was formally introduced as Central Michigan's head coach on Monday and was asked about the abrupt end during his time Gainesville.

McElwain was 22-12 (16-8 SEC) overall during his time at Florida and was fired nine games into the 2017 season after he claimed that his family and players had received death threats, but could not produce evidence of those allegations.

He spent the past season as the wide receiver coach at Michigan.

Jim got confused. When Gator fans said that Georgia is going to kill you Jim heard George, not Georgia.

A bad situation that you created. You don’t go lying about death threats and then lie to your employer.
