According to Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times, the Florida Gators football program has been under investigated since the summer. Right now, there are no specific details about why the program is being investigated...
quote:

“We have been and will continue to cooperate with the NCAA,” Gators spokesperson Steve McClain told Baker. “We hold ourselves to high standards of excellence and integrity on and off the field. Because we follow NCAA policies about maintaining confidentiality, we are unable to offer additional comments.”

"Hello? NCAA? This Florida. We have been cheating. Yes, we confess. Now punish us so that we dont have to pay Napier."

This doesn’t sound like a championship experience “with integrity”! It would be just too bad if our athletic director lost his job over this investigation.

I think a reduction of 30 yearly scholarships would be fair.

This could mean an early end to Stricklin, and depending on the circumstances, could get Napier rolled up as well. Mullen got UF on probation, and I assume this is new stuff.
