He has to keep them nearby in case the 2019 NCG comes on; poor ol' coach still doesn't know what hit him. QB wasn't injured or held out of practices, and the defense wasn't riddled with injuries and filled with 7 FR starting. The team wasn't complacent or overlooking Clemson. It was just an old fashioned arse whooping. One of the few an other healthy, should of been focused and ready Saban squad has taken. And, it could have been worse.
