Kids were tested and negative. They are outside. They get to take masks off inside when they eat and DRINK (purpose of going), and they aren't going to die from it anywhere. Saban's remarks were what you would expect from a WV Democrat. He's hired to win NCs, not talk politics. As for believing in democracy, we are a republic. Nothing much in our Constitution is democratic and is designed that way. Our republic is based on personal responsibility and personal liberty. I live next to a small college. No one is wearing masks outside. Students riding in cars without masks. I watched a volleyball game and a frat party while walking the dog. No masks. Do not get me wrong, I am not for mask wearing. I think at best it helps 20% that wear them. Mainly old people need to wear them.
