Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt discussed Alabama's trajectory on his latest College Football Stock Watch episode.

According to Klatt, the Crimson Tide are "on a trajectory that is down," and he doesn't expect it to get better. Per SI.com:

With the 2026 college football season now the main focus around the sport, Fox's Joel Klatt didn't mince words about the direction Alabama is headed on a recent episode of the "Joel Klatt Show."

Klatt revealed that he thinks Alabama is on a downward trajectory, and may not be able to turn things around.

"So to me it's a trajectory thing for Alabama," Klatt said. "They are on a trajectory that is down and I don't think that that is going to stop there. They have to level out at some point in order to start going back up, but I don't sense that moment of them leveling out. I think that win against Georgia on the road last year was fantastic. There's no doubt. But man, I don't see this team turning it around. Like I said, I think about the SEC. I think about Georgia and Texas."

The team that made the CFP quarterfinals and played in the conference championship game?

I'm getting really sick of people acting like Bama went 6-6 and played in the Birmingham Bowl last season.

It's really ridiculous and stupid. In this new era of college football, just stay in the top 10 in recruiting and competent in the portal and the talent is there to compete annually for a playoff spot and potential natty.

agreed. hell, Ole Miss and Indy didn't need a bunch of 5 stars. The menu has changed but the eaters are still gonna eat. Bama will rise...dare I say as an LSU fan...with the the Tide (just threw up in my mouth). And if Kayla doesn't get them there, someone else will.

Well, history has shown that anything Klatt says about Bama the opposite happens. This guy is a dufus.

Until Texas actually wins something I wouldn’t think much of them either.
