If you’re hurt, you should play. If you’re injured and can’t play near your potential and/or it won’t heal if you do play through it. Well, that’s when you should sit.

That works at Alabama. Saban just tells them the next 5 star is ready to go and they may have a spot when they are healthy.

Sounds like Saban was doing the right thing sitting a hurt player and letting someone else step up to fill the gap. If Cooper decides to play bc he don't wanna give up playing time to someone else, then that's on him, not Saban
