Agree on Yeldon. As underrated a player at Alabama as there has been during the Saban era. I think he'll show that in the NFL too
I'll be surprised if Yeldon does anything in the NFL.

Really? I think he will be really good in a spread passing system like Atlanta or Denver.

Now you see why Les Miles cannot beat Nick Saban. Shitty quarterbacks, one dimensional offense, runs up the middle, no threat on the edge, etc.

ahem, with all due respect this is nonsense. LSU outplayed Bama the last couple years only to give the game away on defense in the last minute of the game with Chavis' prevent defense. This is not knock on Bama or to say LSU is some great team, but the idea that you're going to beat Bama by simply passing the ball is a recipe for 3 and out and a stead diet of a Bama RB running the ball down your defense's throat.

Smart is moving back to LBs and Cooper was hired to coach DBs

And we know that Saban and Smart will not have any influence with that position.

they most likely will. Considering that Saban is HC and Smart is DC, they'll both surely have influence on the whole defense. not sure what your point is.

but the idea is that Smart and Tucker* (not Cooper) are both better coaches than Lance Thompson.

Now I get the purpose of the post.

I honestly don't get the Kiffen spin? I mean Bama lost 2 games last year without him, lost 2 games this year with him? Any logical Bama fan realizes they coulda lost 4 easily this year.

Back to this again I see. Before the season starte it was all "Kiffin sucks, he's washed up. Bama gonna suck for sure". Fast forward to end of the season and the Bama offense has no chance of survival without Kiffin if he decides to head to the NFL. A month later and Kiffin sucks again. I love this roller coaster, mostly because it's so predictable.

I think he can be a quality back in the NFL, maybe not a starter - only because of his toughness in the hole. He doesn't go down easily and is really quick on line. One of the drawbacks I have with him is that he lacks breakaway speed, thus the reason for not many runs over 25-30 yards or so in his career. Cutting back on his turnovers has helped too.

I personally think Henry will be a star in the NFL. He needs to develop some toughness and learn to use his size a bit more, but if he does, he is durable enough (he carried the ball so much in high school) that he can be awesome at the next level.

Just my .10 cents

Lot's of good talk in here for once lol

Henry is great situational back just like Drake etc. Henry does not hit the hole well but he has learned to dive, something they worked on before the sugar bowl and it was working with that 6'+ frame. Our new RB's might turn out to be something special I have seen all of them in person, good head on their shoulder and hard workers. I expect one of the new guys to fill in for J Fowler.

WR's, We have alot of talent and I am curious to see what it leads to. Ridley is a hard working kid and by that I mean he like's to do his talking on the field. AD reminds me of Drake they even move the same, He could be a nice asset.

Defense will be good if they loosen some things up, if they keep the tight arse stuff going it will be a struggle in the secondary again. Let's the horses run free and play the talent. (Maybe Kirby can draw simpler plays with that fractured hand from the sugar bowl).

QB, Coker is a bit slow, he falls behind where some of the younger guys don't. That's a fact btw, if anyone needs a credential check ask around. Sources tell me that Cornwell has a good chance to make a move where Barnett is just unknown.

Some of you addressed the trust thing, I think sometimes the best player doesn't play, it is what it is. I literally wanted to walk to the field and slay Christian Jones for his stupidity, but coach thinks he needed to play whatever right. Maybe that's why Chris Black punched C Jones in the face at practice. (Hopefully that isn't a news flash for some of you).

Oline will be improved and that's not really even a discussion.

Trey D was a liability and thank god fatty is done. He struggled to stay on his diet before the Sugar Bowl. No love for him at all.

Dline will be nasty.

For Safety you will see Geno SMith and someone else maybe a converted guy like Tony Brown, Mo Smith, Hootie something like that.

Eddie Jackson was not 100% last year may never be. We have far more talent than him arriving. Cyrus holds his own but is fighting genetics.

That's about it, all in all good team that will be tough to beat but beatable all the same. Good Day Gents

I don't know if Bama will put up bigger numbers this season but I think they'll be more balanced. This past season, it was pretty much the Amari Cooper show. I think Kenyan Drake will be the X factor. If he's 100%, he'll give Bama a RB that has the speed to run a deep route at any time. The personnel matchups will be tough on D-coordinators.
