The had a very easy schedule in the SECE. They lost to 4 average teams that year and FSU. Keep trying....

USC lost 5 games that year while playing a poor SECE. They were an average team. ...

AU had a perfect talent for the type of talent AU had that year. It still almost was a misuse of talent due to how coaches took a few steps to use the talent. He would have been use differently at some schools and AU was the only school that would have a chance with his ego....

Saban at one time was the voice of success in the game, now he has become like many in the game. No problem with his one of many options, he just isn't listen to by much. He isn't as thought today as before, sad but true....

Sorry, but these are the facts for awhile and discussed. LA had great athletes in a smaller number, but the Saban came in and stole many from LSU. NIL is now even making it hard for LSU. UGA has a much bigger selection due to the state of GA....

The real reason why UGA has had a big advantage in the SEC is only in a small part because of Smart. Compare this with any state before talking about the coach at any SEC school:
1. Numerous HS recruits within the state.
2. Large population of the State
