Will Alabama struggle on offense next year?

We all know Alabama recruits well, but they lost their starting QB, RB, HB, TE ,3 WRs and 3 OL. That is a lot for any team to lose, regardless of talent returning. Especially unproven talent

Their scoring in SEC games will fall off by 3-4 points per game.

I honestly don't get the Kiffen spin? I mean Bama lost 2 games last year without him, lost 2 games this year with him? Any logical Bama fan realizes they coulda lost 4 easily this year.

They struggled this year..... They only scored 6 Offensive TDs against the good Defenses (Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss State, LSU) this year and scored in bunches against weaker defenses..... But the Defense will still be elite and will keep them in all the games.

Downgrade at quarterback, h-back, wide receiver and possibly offensive line. Upgrade at running back and tight end.
They might struggle in the beginning, but we really don't know what kind of offense they will run. I think it will be a little more slow paced with more focus on ball control.

They'll be a hot mess on offense next season, but ridiculous on defense.

I actually think the defense will struggle more than the offense next year. I really don't see how the secondary will be any good after losing its best DB and SEC QBs will be much better than last year. There was a void in good QB play from the SEC because of all the great QBs who left the previous year. Teams with competent passing attacks will continue to give Bama major problems next year.

Your front 7 will be ridiculous. Have to find a pass rusher or 3.

Amazing that we would downgrade from a converted running back at QB to 1 of several 4-5 star guys. And the oline will upgrade. We'll miss all the receivers, though. Ardarius Stewart is my breakout guy there.

I think Saban makes him run the ball X amount of times a game for the whole season. No more fun and gun. It's been proven you won't win shite without a running game

quote:Agreed. I think teams are figuring out that you have to beat Alabama through the air and on the edges. You cannot pound them unless you have a rush attack like 2013 Auburn, or somewhere similar, and a defense capable of holding down Alabama's offense. You also have to have a competent quarterback in most cases.

Now you see why Les Miles cannot beat Nick Saban. Shitty quarterbacks, one dimensional offense, runs up the middle, no threat on the edge, etc.

Or 3* Jacob Coker...

I was unclear. I was more giving props to Blake. Coker could be McElroy 2.0, which would be good. And bad. Who knows? Like I said, I say we score 3-4 points less in the SEC. Which is not insignificant.

Personally, as an Auburn fan, I would rather Jacob Coker start. I don't think his ceiling is anywhere near as high as Blake Barnett or David Cornwell, and I would much rather have them ride the bench a little longer.
I was pretty clear last year during the off-season, I DID NOT want Blake Sims starting for Alabama. He brought much more to the table than his competitors at Alabama and Auburn always struggles against dual threat types.
