Not to mention Ole Miss and Tennessee, and for that matter Wisconsin. It's a rough schedule.
Alabama is a terrible match-up for Wisconsin, IMO.

The literally can't pass, and couldn't even find much success against Auburn...but we were unable to stop the power running game which plays right into Alabama's defensive strength.

I might bet the house in Alabama's favor...

Christion Jones was terrible this season. He'll be easy to replace.
If he was so terrible, I think he would've been replaced last year...

What do I know, though? Auburn started Jake Holland and Neiko Thorpe for 3 years and they were some of the worst starters I've ever seen in the SEC.

I agree, they don't scare me much at all. Plus they lose 3 OL, Gordon, their TE, 4-5 guys on defense.

We (and by we I mean our coaching staff) are very reluctant to replace guys they "trust". I understand it in principle, but sometimes it can make you want to slam your head into a brick wall.

Drake was more of a playmaker outside than Jones was.

He had a specific role and apparently no one else developed or was given a chance to develop into that role. Stewart is clearly the superior talent by a wide margin but probably doesn't know the position as well. As for what the hell was going on with the returns I won't even venture a guess.

In general I think it's funny that we have these types of topics every off-season with fans of rival teams who apparently know more about our team than us.

Easily our best player with the ball in his hands.

Kenyan Drake only caught 5 passes in the first 5 games before being hurt, whereas Christion Jones caught 11 passes in that same time frame.

What am I missing here?

We really didn't use Drake until the Florida game (on purpose, I think). He obviously had a few huge plays in the Florida game and had some big plays against Ole Miss (and was to be heavily featured the whole game) until he snapped his leg.

Kiffin loves him because of the matchup issues he creates.

Drake was in the dog house the first part of the season. One of those cases where he had to work his way back into the line up. He was just starting to play a lot.

Yeah, Kiffin loves Drake. He was a big loss for our offense.

And the fact that in our OOC conference games our offense consisted of Sims throwing sideways passes to Coop until we went up by 4 TD's and ran or let Coker come in.

Could be true, Lane Kiffin might have wanted to keep him secret. I think he could've been used against West Virginia, though. That was a pretty tough game.

I remember him staring in the Florida game but I don't remember him doing very much against Ole Miss.

I like Kenyan Drake. He doesn't see like the typical, uneducated college kid. He ignorantly (in other words, he doesn't knowingly "boast" his intelligence) boasts a pretty good level of intelligence on Twitter and represents the University well, IMO.

It was, but we were having no problems offensively. We moved the ball at will (had 650 yards of offense or something).

Yea, he seems like a pretty decent kid with a good head on his shoulders. He has had problems with the playbook and just kind of generally being a goof that have hurt his PT over the years (he ran the wrong way on the goalline one time, stuff like that), but none of it has been malicious, bad kid type stuff.

I was really disappointing for him when he got hurt last year. He was primed to have a good season and he deserved it. Really hoping it all comes together for him this year.

Didn't he get hurt in the first quarter?

ETA: Correction, He got hurt on the first play of the second quarter on his first touch. Gained about 11 yards or so.

Yea, I can't remember. I looked back and it does appear he only caught the one pass for 10 yards. I am probably thinking back to all the chatter that he was supposed to be a big part of the gameplan that game, not that he had actually done much to the point of his injury.

Where does Kenyan Drake fit into the backfield next year? Honestly, I'm still not sold on Derrick Henry. I'm really not sure how Bo Scar and Desherrius Flowers fit into the whole ordeal, either (read where one might play safety and the other h-back).

1) Kenyan Drake
2) Derrick Henry
3) Tyren Jones
4) Damien Harris
5) Bo Scar
6) Desherrius Flowers
