Gotcha. That makes me question Kiffen even more, in that case.

Well they will start the guy they think gives them the best chance to win. I can tell you it won't be Barnett. It will be Cokesiah, Bateman, or Cornwell, IMO. I'd have to put my $ on Coke right now. Only because Coke Adds Life.

I think Cornwall can be elite. Can being the key part of that sentence. But I like the potential. If Blake and David can live up to my expectations we finna eat

I think our OL improves in run blocking. If we can control the game with our OL and run the ball consistently I believe many of our defensive woes will be masked. I would expect our secondary to improve at the cb position and our front 7 will be at least as good if not better with more experience and Ragland back. De priest seemed to be a liability at times. Hoping a couple of the younger LB signed last year step up.

Déjà vu all over again...

Time to face reality Tide fans

quote:

Alabama will struggle to get to 8 wins regardless of "talent" if Sims is your Qb. You know in your heart its true.

more

quote:

Alabama doesnt deserve to be ranked in the top 5. They return a career back up at Qb who only has a few weeks to learn their offense. The lost the entire secondary sans a Safety that gave up huge plays against top 25 offenses. They now have LANE as an OC which is laughable in its own right. No way they escape losing 3 games this year. And if they lose early, they will choke on the pressure throughout the rest of the season.

Offense might be down some, but I think their defense will more than make up for it.

They might struggle at the beginning but I believe they'll get it back together and the SECW will come down to the Iron Bowl

Agreed. Alabama and Auburn are clearly the two best teams in the west. The Iron Bowl should decide the division, again.

For the maybe the first time ever as a Bama fan, I am extremely optimistic about our WR group. Yes I know we lose Cooper but the amount of young talent acquired at this position would have any team excited. I agree that ArDarius Stewart will be the break out player but it's the other guys that I also can't wait to see. I expect that we will be spreading the ball out considerably more than 2014 considering Stewart =/= Cooper (yet, well maybe who knows). That means that we will should see significant playing time and catches for potentially Chris Black, Raheem Falkins, Robert Foster, Cam Sims, (and possibly even) Calvin Ridley. For once it seems like we'll be deep enough here to really spark some of Lanes crazy side (but Saban approved, of course)

Alabama down? Nope! Five top classes in a row say's otherwise. If they don't win the SEC Saban should be run out of town. Hand the ball off early in the season until the new QB gets a feel for the offense. They will simply live in your back field with their front seven. I wished Arkansas had this talent when we are supposed to be down! Great problem to have. WPS!

In games away from home, we scored:
33
17
14
34
20
42
35

We were certainly garbage. In contrast, the mighty auburn offense away from home scored:
20
23
35
7
44
31

I only have one question. Does it take an effort to be that stupid, or are you some sort of asinine prodigy?

you scored 14, 17, 20, and 34 in true road games. the referees gave you a touchdown against ole miss and you had to go to overtime againt lsu

What I find funny is when bammers say things like:

"This year was sabens best coaching job"

or

"This team really overachieved".

WTF?

You had the number one recruiting class every year that this years team was put together. How does that translate into overachieving when you lose to bo Wallace and a third team QB from Ohio state?

I know this is entirely wasted on you, but I'm going to throw it out there in the hopes that maybe something sticks.

The smaller the sample size, the less the statistical significance. If you define "away from home" so narrowly that it leaves you 4 games, the conclusions you draw will be so overreaching that they are worthless.

Now if you read this far, thanks for your patience and good luck with the Natural Light waiting for you in the fridge.

I think we will be more like the 2008-2009 teams. The OL will be better and we will run the football more.
