That line of thinking from the gumps is hilarious. Can you imagine how big of a joke a medical school in Tuscaloosa would be? It would be on the same level as Caribbean med schools

Almost like a medical school in Gainesville right? Plenty of systems have their medical schools in small college towns. UA saw the advantage of moving it to the largest city in the state and it blossomed into a world class facility with constant support of the UABOT. But that does not fit into the narrative of what AU fans want to spill about something that has nothing to do with AU.

Well, the med school became successful when they got the hell away from bama football and that puffed up bloated community college that exists to serve it.

Breaking away made the medical school respectable.

The University of Alabama's medical school in Tuscaloosa is very respectable and I damn sure have respect for anyone who's gets in and graduates from there. My former roommate worked his arse off to get in there and to graduate and now has a great job in Madison Wisconsin.

Jesus you are embarrassing. Considering that Bama is ranked higher than or right next to Auburn in basically every legitimate ranking of universities, what does that make Auburn?

Barely trying at all. Easy when the facts are on your side and the facts are UAB wants nothing to do with Bama and hasn't for decades. Being associated with Bama embarrasses a lot of UAB people, holds them back and pisses them off.

Can't say I blame them.

Too bad UAB is Bama. They are our Birmingham campus. They are a satellite. Nothing more. Nothing less.

You people could at least pick one narrative and stick with it.

Is Alabama just too insecure and scared to schedule UAB, or is it that UAB just doesn't want anything to do with Bama because of their overwhelming embarrassment of being associated with us?

Bamas daddy son.

Doesn't surprise me as a gump, you put Stock in us news and world report and their laughable metrics that Bama pays millions to try and manipulate to make them look less like what the university really is - a servant of football with low admission standards, huge grade inflation (ranked as the highest in the sec), whose grads rank towards the bottom of the sec in earnings. Real talk son. Real realities. Puffed up community college education.

UAB would rather piss on Tuscaloosa than be associated with them.

No matter how hard Bama tries to claim UAB.

Auburn had to accept 83% of applicants because nobody wants to go to that shitty school.

Bama accepts less because so many lower quality applicants know Bama has lower qualifications so half the rednecks in the state feel like they may get in.

The dumbasses don't apply to AU. They know better

I'm the first to say that I wish UAB could be independent of UA. In an ideal world it would be the University of Birmingham. I believe it could compete athletically and academically on the same level as other city universities like Memphis and Cincinnati were it to become independent. However, I don't believe there to be some conspiracy of the UABOT to destroy UAB.

Watch out. If you keep telling the truth, TiM is going to get himself banned again.

I always crack a little smile when one of them tells me something like "people on this side of the mountain just prefer to send our kids to Auburn, because the don't let in so many coloreds."

It's amazing how open the racism is.

Dumb arse boogs talking about med schools and law schools and things Auburn will never know about. These are for Big Boy schools. You're out of your element.
