Uab hates the arse clowns in turd land and have been calling them out for decades. Beat their arse the only time they ever met when the NCAA forced them into playing in the NIT.

I remember there was even talk of Bama declining the invitation to avoid the arse whupping.

I didn't realize there was a difference on whether small programs rented a win to an instate school or not. I forgot that Alabama's money is worth more to south Alabama than Mississippi states money
Exactly. The "keep the money instate" argument doesn't make any sense. If anything, a team like Troy would get more money from an out of state program than from Alabama or Auburn.

Who gives a shite? There is literally nothing about UAB as a school or athletic department that threatens Alabama. They should be thanking us for our graciousness in providing them with what they have.

You're welcome.

Believe me when I say playing bama is not in uabs interest.

They recently approved paying their coach some 1m a year. The program would get raped if they beat Alabama.

You sure it's not because Auburn is a lot closer to those schools?

Yea, but we'll talk about Alabama blocking Auburn from moving to the SECe another day

UAB is beneath us. It would make sense that Auburn would pursue that match up.

Alabamas actions toward UAB has always been steeped in insecurity.

It's sorta humerous. And sad. Kinda like Bama and gumps in general I suppose.

My ideal would be a tournament held in Birmingham with Auburn, UAB, and Bama headlining against the other state schools like Troy, Jacksonville State, Alabama State, A&M, ect.

The games are being played anyway so why not combine them in a big tourney at the BJCC after the SECCG to highlight basketball in the state of Alabama? I think it would become a very big deal annually and be fun for the entire state

That would be awesome. I would want an Alabama state tournament in baseball too.

Oh man, a baseball tournament played at Regions Field would be so much fun.

I know it! I mean hell, all we did was give them our medical and dental school.

Lord, they're gonna have to pry that med school out of the gumps cold, dead, hand.

I think it eats at your souls to see what UAB's Med School and by extension the hospital have become with Bama getting none of the credit nor glory for their success. This is why you remind any and all who will listen that the Med school originated in Tuscaloosa

That line of thinking from the gumps is hilarious. Can you imagine how big of a joke a medical school in Tuscaloosa would be? It would be on the same level as Caribbean med schools

I was responding to an Auburn fan who accused UA of doing nothing but try to keep UAB down. If that is the case then why would we move our medical school to their campus? The medical school is the crown jewel of the entire system.
