Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, is predicting that the ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith will eventually run for president...
quote:

"Either party would be foolish not to be willing to talk to him," Christie told the Washington Post's Ben Strauss. "I don’t think it's imminent, but will he run someday? I think it’s more likely than not that he would."

Christie said his campaign received a notable donations boost after he appeared on Smith's show. Smith shared a solicitation to raise money to help Christie qualify for a Republican presidential debate last year.

"We could see the data we got from donations that people reacted to it and acted on it," Christie said. "It was a great point of conversation with people, too. I forwarded that text to donors who hadn’t given, and it moved some of those people as well."
