Bama is 5-4 against Pearl in the SEC. He doesn't scare anybody at Auburn.

No shite. Just because Pearl won at a solid basketball program like UT while cheating does not mean he will win at a shitty basketball school like AU with the NCAA breathing down his back

You really don't believe that do you.

Pearl was a great hire. But he does not guarantee AU success. That is a really tough job.

Your white guys had much better standing set shots compared to ours, over most of those years. We could not hit shite with those underhand FTs..

Bama has always owned AU in hoops, no matter what color the players.

Another reason UAT opposed segregation, guys like this could control the game:

UA didn't oppose segregation. The governor did. No one at the university gave a frick.

Do not try to rewrite history. Go see Selma or read about those times.

Bama is 52-26 against AU since the 1979-1980 season. Bama is just better

Don't give me that Selma bull shite. The whole George Wallace in the doorway thing was just a photo op.

George Wallace was the head of the Auburn BOT just as he was the head of the UA BOT. Both universities did what the governor told them to do. Auburn's segregation got very little press because, well...it was API. Your first black student was admitted in 1964 and that was only because the federal courts made them. Alabama's was 1963.

Alabama's basketball program isn't much different than Auburn?

On what planet?

Alabama is only ahead of Auburn due to pre-seg results?

Is this a real conversation we are having right now?

George Wallace did not give a frick what happened at AU (just like Bentley), remember he was a UAt grad. The black community knew that trying to desegregate AU would not mean anything from a public perception. They knew the masses were bama fans and resented anything to effect something with the States name attached to it. If you think UAT was a puppet to George Wallace, and they objected to his stance, you haven't studied history.

No, but to support the numbers he threw out, you have to take that into consideration.

Please. My info comes from people who were there at the time. No one gave a frick.
