I'll say no, mostly because he also had a receiver that was about 6'5" and could grab a fly out the window while driving. Unbelievable hands.

Evans bailed him out a lot.

Just no. Why do people keep saying this? Once again Evans only accounted for 1105 of Manziel's 5116 total yards and 5 of his 47 total TDs. Some of those jump balls Evans caught, he only caught after Manziel evaded 3-4 defenders in the backfield before making the throw.

If you forced him to stay in the pocket he couldn't beat you with his arm. For whatever reason teams thought it was smart to try and pressure him, and it wasn't. Chavis was pretty genius here, just let him sit back in the pocket and he had no idea what to do against us.

I get to pick a player from the last 20 years to start at QB, I am taking Tebow.

TBF, our receivers also had no idea how to get open against press coverage

As much fun as it was to watch Manziel at times, I would go with Cam without hesitation.

And why did he have 20 seconds to throw the ball? Because he was scrambling around the backfield avoiding 3-5 defenders while his receivers got open. The vast majority of QBs would've taken a sack or thrown the ball away.
Go back and watch his tape. His OL was good but there were multiple instances were the defenders broke through the OL and he had make a play out of nothing.

I think so.

Clearly you do not, think that is. All he did was run around making sandlot plays and end up losing. All Cam did was play big man football and win.
And for what my opinion is worth (not much) Eric Berry is the SEC's best in the last 20.

his OL knew how to block for him that's why he had that amount of time... sure he was good at scrambling. I would take multiple QBs over him. Including Dak, Tebow, Cam... He would literally be on my 4th string all-sec team and about the 50th pick considering i'm trying to fill 88 spots on a 4 deep roster.

He wasn't even the best player in the SEC the year he won the Heisman.

Yeah, limiting this to QBs might make it interesting, but QB in the last 20 years? Is that the strongest SEC position?

The problem with JF is that because he didn't win at least a conference championship (and his NFL prospects look dim), his rep is never going to grow.

I never realized how much greater Vince Young's national championship is than anything an A&M player has ever done until now.

(Actually, I have.)

Peyton Manning would be included in this 20year history too... his last year was 97. It depends on the offensive system you are running as well. If I am coach. i do not draft Johnny manziel on my 1st or second team roster from 20 years.
