I'm bored so I'll bite.

Manziel blindly chucked balls into space and Mike Evans bailed him out. Evans and that OL they had in 2012 could've made Khiel Frazier look competent.

Ask yourself this question: could Manziel have won the national championship with 2010 Auburn?

I wouldn't bet on it. Not at all.

He might be the best player I've ever seen in my lifetime in CFB.

I'd probably go with Vince Young or Larry Fitzgerald, but Vick was in god mode against FSU.

No because he would have choked vs LSU like he always did

Also, actually it's by your own logic that an older player's accomplishments would be worth less

basically yeah. Cam was the only reason Auburn marched all over that defense. It was a great defense that season.

And Alabama would have likely gone down as a loss as well.

I was at that game actually. There's a reason he was out of the NFL so quickly. His style of playing QB doesn't usually make it past 4A high school ball

So was I. He was out of the NFL because he's an idiot.

But saying his passing game was just throwing jump balls to Mike Evans is just not factually correct.

Manziel was at his best when he improvised and made plays out of nothing. That just doesn't happen consistently at the NFL level.

Fun to watch in college though.

Not many players can just throw it up and let Mike Evans go get it.

Come on now. Evans only accounted for 2499 of Manziel's 7820 passing yards. Still a decent chunk but he also had another almost 2200 on the ground.

Tebow was by far the worst of the three

Best player against a non-LSU opponent.

Tim Tebow. If Cam had done it for four years like Tebow did then he might have an argument. People here have a nasty habit of downplaying Timmy's stats for some reason. Look at his best season compared to Cam's single season. Tebow stacks up very well.

That being said, it's not wrong per se to claim that Newton was better. I just happen to disagree. Tebow's stats compare very well to Cam's, he did it for four years with three as the starter, and college football has never seen a leader on Tebow's level.

But Manziel? Don't fricking make me laugh

Cam. Not much of a question.

1 was an undefeated heisman winning national champion.

The other won the heisman but nothing significant the rest of his career.

Cam was definitely better and probably Tebow too. Watching teams try and defend Can Newton Auburn offenses was like pulling teeth. They were unstoppable.

He could've a genius like Andrew Luck and his skill set still would've only bought him one, maybe 2 more seasons holding a clipboard max

He also had running around in circles until Mike Evans got open down pat.

But seriously, without Mike Evans there's zero chance Manziel wins a Heisman or gets drafted 1st round.

Without his supporting cast Manziel is a better passing Pat White. Which is still a really good college player, but nowhere close to an NFL QB or a conference all-timer

That's BS. Evans accounted for 1105 of Manziel's 5116 total yards and 5 of his 47 total TDs. His OL was good but there were plenty of times defenders got through and Manziel had use his magic to escape and make a play. Manziel is a shitty NFL player for obvious reasons but I don't see how you can doubt his greatness in college. That being said I don't agree with OP.
