college football has never seen a leader on Tebow's level.
Cam had the entire country, NCAA, and even FBI going through his dirty laundry trying to get into his and Auburn's head right before UGA, Bama, SECCG, and the BCSNCG and neither him or his team even flinched. They might as well been in a bubble and had no idea of the outside world.
THAT is leadership
Tebow lost to Ole Miss and cried and read some bible verses

As an LSU fan I can only judge excellent QB play by watching other teams. Johnny vs Tebow is like apples to oranges. They arent the same, but everyone likes both.

But a great human being

Johnny made Saban's defense look silly. That's something Cam and Tebow couldn't do

Past 20? Been watching college ball over 40 years and Cam is the best player I have ever seen.

Tyrann Mathieu, aka the Honey Badger, was better, but played defense and was a returner. His impact on games was huge - I've never seen another defensive player have the kind of impact Mathieu had.
Tebow was a better leader, which made him a better football player.

So then you think Nick Marshall is better than Cam and Tebow?

Cam Newton
Peyton Manning
Tyrann Mathieu
Tim Tebow
Shaun Alexander
Julio Jones
Leonard Fournette
All better than Manziel. He did have skills, but he was a head case.

Shaun Alexander may be better than Manziel, but he's probably the 5th best Alabama RB of the last 20 years. Not a top 10 SEC RB of the last 20 years either.

Hard to win a "best ever" contest without sniffing a championship game. That's a part of the equation.

I would take Cam, then Johnny. Tebow was a great competitor and great player, but he had a better supporting cast.
