Tebow was a great competitor and great player, but he had a better supporting cast.

Yeah, his skill players really killed the competition

Outside SEC, but how good was Michael Vick at Va Tech in 1999. No one has single handily led a team to a championship game berth since he did.

2065 yards passing with 13 tds and 682 on the ground... bud foster carried that team.

Lowest football iq on this site. You've been shot down with stats but keep on with the narrative that he just blindly threw jump balls to Evans. Those Heisman voters must've been complete morons huh?

Statistically Manziel is the greatest SEC QB of all time. Loved watching him play. Cam wasn't anything special through the air. Manziel also had a better season on the ground than Cam did his first year. But Cam is a god on here because he ran for 200 against LSU and had the ability to go into four yards and a cloud of dust mode that the old people on here love so much.

EDIT: To clarify I loved watching Cam, too. I just hate how untouchable he is on here for the aforementioned reasons.

Cam had probably the worst supporting cast of all 3 (probably would have gone 8-5 without him, even if replaced by someone decent) and dominated in one of the deepest divisions CFB had ever seen, winning a national championship with Gene Chizik as his HC, so there is that.

The Heisman has become a marketing junk award by espn. It's like claiming to be a ladies man, cause you screw hot hookers.

Tebow > Johnny football

No question.

Cam Newton was better than both as well, he only played 1 year though

If you take his best year and extrapolate those numbers over a 4 year career.......maybe.

On raw data he's not a top 20 QB in SEC history

Yeah it wasn't great, but Auburn fans will throw that team under the bus to make Cam look better. Similar to LSU fans and Fournette. Weird since in the national championship it was the defense and Dyer that really stepped up.

Maybe lol? If he stayed two more years he blows out the competition.

I don't throw that team under the bus, I'm calling a spade a spade

They had a senior laden OL that was good but 2012 TAMU was better. They had some decent WRs that were good at run blocking but both FL and TAMU were better. Dyer was a decent RB as a freshman but not some all star. Lutzenkirchen (RIP) was a great TE For sure, but FL had Hernandez and despite him being a POS, he was a gamer.

On defense the DL was really good and Bynes made for a good MLB but the secondary was the worst secondary in the SEC.
