Was it USC's destruction of powerhouses like Virginia Tech, Oregon State, Cal, UCLA, Stanford etc... that led you to believe they were untouchable? Or are you just a moron?
It was probably USC's destruction of Auburn the previous 2 years that gave him that idea........Nostradamus

Nobody would have mistaked the team with Jordan Jefferson at QB for the best team ever.
ESPN ran an entire segment about them. Even published an article after they lost listing other teams that just missed "Best ever" tags. Included the 2007 New England Patriots and 2005 USC Trojans.
Eric Reid
Craig Loston
Tyrann Mathieu
Sam Montgomery
Michael Brockers
Barkevious Mingo
Deangelo Peterson
Russell Shephard
Jarvis Landry
Reuben Randle
Odell Beckham
Spencer Ware
La'El Collins
Kevin Minter
I mean, holy shite.

My bad. Bottom line they played two conference champions(not 4), one being from the Big East. We have already debated what bowl wins mean.
They played 9 games against teams that were ranked.
Auburn didn't even play 9 games against teams that finished better than .500.

I never said they played 4.
They did, however, play and beat two of the major bowl winners, and the national champion.
Oh, and those three wins? All away from home.

Spencer Ware and Russell Shepard?
That list is impressive enough without adding worthless guys to it

The NFL talent on the 2011 LSU/Bama game was fricking unreal. Doesn't get better than that

They are in the NFL are they not? 2011 LSU beat 2004 Auburn

Nice try, that was when they played not at the end.Remember AU was ranked #6 at one point this year. Bammer revisionist at his best.

I'm not revising anything. I stated that they played 9 games against teams who were ranked. That's 100% fact.

I like how there's a Bama fan that's been arguing all day about this

And you judge how many ranked opponents a team played by what teams were ranked when you played them.
So he's right.

Bama played the hardest schedule in the country this past season, phannage. You're out of practice.

No you do not. Ranking (especially preseason) mean nothing. At the end of the year you judge what the schedule really looked like. Remember AU, this year, A&M and USCe last year.

yes, Spencer Ware and Russell Shepard, who are still playing in the NFL, unlike more decorated college players like Trent Richardson

I think Auburn probably would have squeaked out a 6-3 win in a 2004 barn, 2011 L5U game.
Just because neither team would have been able to move the ball, and the barn's offense was good enough once L5U's defense wore down to get close enough for a couple FG.
L5U's 2011 defense was the truth though. One of the best I've ever seen.

Just pointing out that the LSU defense played West Virginia/Oregon/Arkansas that year. All of them were some of the most explosive offenses that year and all either couldn't move the ball or finish drives against that LSU team.

Let's not forget how badly they struggled with a Spencer Pennington led Bama team
I guess that 2009 bama team was a bunch of chumps. I mean they struggled wayyyyyyyyy more with a Chris Todd led Auburn team.

LSU beat the ever living frickshit out of every team not named Alabama in 2011(and still won in tuscaloosa).
Love how people focus on that last game and say that team was bad offensively, they weren't great but especially when Lee was under center they were more than formidable
Auburn needed a damn near miracle to beat a 4 loss LSU team by a point at home qb'd by marcus randall who makes jefferson look like dan marino.
Both good teams
