So you are just going to ignore the Branch Davidians? Jonestown? The catholic church before the 20th century?

Terrible examples. Both David Koresh and Jim Jones considered themselves 'saviors', as a direct contradiction to the Christian faith. And are you going to ignore the fact that the crusades were a response to Muslims raiding Christian-held lands and killing thousands? Yes there has been instances of radical Christianity. But to compare it to radical Muslim is grossly misguided.

Were we worried about our immigration policy in 1986 when this guy's parent emigrated here from Afghanistan?

Obviously not. Which to me, shows the difference in generations IMO. Their parents came here for freedom and the opportunity to work. Those parents children, seem to be the extreme of their religion.

Boston bombings, today for example, are the children of people who came to America to be free. The parents have continued to be religious, but not extremists. It just seems, the off spring of those are taking it over the top and do not fully appreciate what America has allowed their parents to do.

Just a thought

This is reality. There are 300+ million guns in America.

There is no going back. We are a gun culture.

We should model our society after that of Israel. If some of the patrons of the nightclub had been armed last night, the deaths might have been 5 instead of 50.

Terrorists will kill some but it is now incumbent upon all of us to limit their effectiveness. The only workable solution is to be able to respond to an attack anywhere because their attacks are happening everywhere.

Suggesting gays bring guns into a gay bar is the epitome of ignorance. Gary's go to gay bars as a sanctuary from the prejudice and comments they often receive in general public. It's one of the only places many of them can be themselves free from judgment.

1. People blaming guns need to remember what happened in Paris just last November.
2. Anyone voting for Hillary because you think the sky will fall if Trump gets elected should know that she's taken millions of dollars from the very same people who fund Islamic terrorism.

So has Islam declared war on the LGBT community? Seems that way.

When in the frick did I say anything about loving radical terrorists. frick them. I hope they die slow deaths.

My comments were referring to a person on the terrorists watch list being a registered gun owner. You honestly don't see that as a problem?

So, you might safe it's a safe space then?

I wonder how safe gays will feel in their gun-free bars tonight.

I can't, in good conscience, vote for either of these clowns.

Actually, implying that a gathering of 300+ unarmed gay people is a sanctuary is the height of ignorance. It's an open invitation to any anti-gay nut to wreak havoc.

Well, that certainly wasn't the case last night. A mentally ill Muslim who was raised thinking that gays deserve death effected his judgment at will.

Some watch lists are too broad IMO.

Now...if a person has been personally interviewed TWICE by the FBI about extremist activities, like this guy...he certainly doesn't need a gun and certainly doesn't NEED TO WORK FOR A SECURITY COMPANY.

My lord, how fricking stupid is his employer?

While both may be clowns...one will sit idle and not go after these yahoos...the other is a grade A prick who doesn't seem to take shite from anyone.

I'll vote for the one with balls.

It's funny and sad to me that the far-leftists, the most ardent supporters of the LGBT community, are the most anti-Israeli and pro-Palestinian. Israel has recognized gay marriage longer than the United States, and if a bar like this existed in Gaza, its patrons would have been shot or beheaded before I could finish typing this. The underdog syndrome that the so-called progressives have is literally insane... radical Muslims, whom they view as underdogs, hate the liberal notions of civil liberty and plurality.

ISIS is throwing anybody suspected of homosexuality off the highest building they find, and "civilized" Muslim countries aren't much kinder to homosexuals....but hey, who are we to judge their religious beliefs and culture?

But frick those evil Christians for letting homosexuals be homosexuals, while just not morally supporting same-sex marriage. There's no place for ignorant bigots like that, they must just be stupid or hateful.

If you have to reach all the way back to the crusades to try and equate Islamic extremists with Christian extremist, then you've already proven the point that they are not the same and are not comparable in today's world.
