Really sad situation. Sick feeling for those that he rounded up or those that were hiding in the bathroom waiting for the shooter to come in

I'm just grateful it didn't happen at a theme park or a place where children would be present.

Yeah, coming one day after that domestic terrorist shot Christina Grimmie, people from Orlando must be wondering what's going on. The city must be in shock.

Police say Kevin Loibl did not intentionally kill himself after shooting Grimmie. He was armed with two guns, extra magazines and a hunting knife.

He intended to kill more people. Grimmie's brother tackled the shooter and in the struggle, Loibl shot himself. Kudos to the brother.

Beyond you? Really? We live in a country that is seemingly hell bent on taking away firearms from normal citizens, and sure as hell will limit where you can carry, and then we blame the same inanimate objects every time something like this happens, and yet the fact that nobody was armed there is beyond you?

Radicals of all religions need to be stamped out.

Florida law makes bars a free zone for the patrons.

Some reports are saying he was engaged by an off duty officer working security. I have not heard if the officer was one of the victims or not.

Law aside, I am ultra-pro armed citizenry, but a dark nightclub full of drunks is a tough call. Really difficult self defense scenario.

I used to think that maybe radical Islam was the product of poor education and ignorance from being closed off from the rest of the world, but a lot of these attacks (France, Belgium) are from second generation citizens.

Radical Islam is a problem and there really is no way to side step that.

Such a huge difference between radical Christians and radical Islam.

Radical Christians kill themselves mostly or protest soldiers deaths.

Radical Muslims...really need no explanation as we have seen it get worse and worse the last 30 years. They hate us. They hate everything America stands for. Their goal is to wipe us all off the face of this earth.

If you can't see the difference, then...

If he was on the terrorist watch list, why was he allowed to have a firearm license?

That makes zero sense to me.

I live in a state with some of the most liberal laws regarding gun ownership and use. (I'll give you a moment to digest that since I used the words liberal and gun use together. Hope your brain doesn't shut down.)

Given that, yes, I find it hard to understand why no one in this day of terroristic acts didn't have a gun with which to fight back. There were 300 people in the nightclub when the Islamic terrorist struck.

I'm sure the terrorists will continue to hit what they consider to be soft targets until people wake up and understand that we're all in this war together. Until we start showing the capability to drop the terrorists before they really get going, as Israelis do, incidents such as the nightclub shooting will continue.

What's next, a stadium or arena? Maybe another school? University's that forbid concealed carry are just asking for it.

I'm ultra-pro armed citizenry, too. More people are going to have to start carrying guns. Maybe the designated driver can take on the responsibility of "designated shooter" as well.

So you are just going to ignore the Branch Davidians? Jonestown? The catholic church before the 20th century?

Clinton's DOJ killed the Branch Davidians, Jim Jones was a cult unto themselves and you have to resort to the 1800's and later for anything else?

I really hope that was a sarcastic question. A firearm license? Do you mean a conceal carry license? Like that's going to stop him. "Allah, I want to carry out my attack in your name today but I just can't because I don't have a conceal carry license so I can't stealthily get my guns into the nightclub in a lawful manner."

Not sure where you live or what the laws are but I've never heard of a "firearm license" and it sounds like a myth like people "registering" guns.

No amount of gun control or regulation was going to stop this guy this day. Can't get a gun from a store because of background checks? Okay, well just go down the street and get some handguns from the local redneck, or being in Florida that must be the easiest place in the country to buy and illegally smuggled machine gun.
