Was this when Fahmy Malak was medical examiner for the state? He should have just opened a pill-mill somewhere. It would be a more honorable use of his license.

She will always be Cousin Vickie to me.
Thanks for posting the link again. Things get buried quickly on the PB. Let's keep Ben in our prayers, and help any way we can on gofundme.

Maybe not the best method, but definitely the most fun.

Thanks for putting the gofundme link in this thead. I was afraid it would get buried in the Q thread before the goal was reached.

Bencoleman, you and your family have been in my prayers ever since you let TD know of your cancer. I tried to leave this on your GFM page, but I don't facebook. I've seen so many folks here offering their prayers and encouragement to you. I'm sure these are just the tip of the iceberg, with many mainly lurkers (like me) joining in prayer for you.

Thank you for your contributions in the Q thread. May God bless you.
I've stayed at that Red Roof Inn many times. It was clean, inexpensive, and Waffle House was across the parking lot. It was close to several family members, and a short drive to the airport.

That part of Little Rock started to get sketchy before Katrina. Last time I stayed there, lots of hookers and druggies wandering around. I saw in the paper's police reports of doors being kicked in and robberies there.

Glad you made it out with just the loss of your stuff.
Delivering phone books in Memphis. Back then, the books were nearly 2" thick. Went to all parts of Memphis. If you looked up"fone company" it said "see phone co."

Yes. If you don't want to go under, you wont.

I have been hypnotized for smoking cessation. It worked. All people can't be hypnotized. Drunks and people who resist suggestions are among those.
Speaking of LHN, currently showing 1969 AR-TX football game. Teams were ranked 1 and 2. Hogs are up 14-0 third quarter. I've watched the tape one time since the game was played. I felt awful for days after the game. My dislike for TX has only deepened through the years. Way to go,MSU.
Check out some of Famhy Malak's findings when he was AR state medical ecaminer and Clintom was governor. LA Times had a good article on them.

Gaston's White River Resort is a great place to get away.

re: Doodlebug or roly poly

That's a roly poly. Another name for doodle bug is ant lion. LINK They make funnel-shaped depressions in sand to trap ants. As kids, we would take a straw and stir the sand at the bottom to find the doodle bug. We would always say "Doodle bug, doodle bug,fly away home. Your house is on fire and your children will burn." Didn't take much to amuse us back then.
