Bowl Mania - Make your picks now!

Posted by Beastfense on 12/16/11 at 5:51 pm
SEC Teams are all favored so those are the top of my picks. :nana:

ESPN Bowl Mania

It's sort of like what they do for the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

You can make your picks straight up (1 pt per win) or use a confidence ranking... rank your picks based on how confident you are, more points for higher ranked wins. 50-50 shot? put it at the bottom. Stone Cold Lock of the bowl game? Put it at the top!

Hat Trick coming your way, Gumps

Posted by Beastfense on 12/5/11 at 9:20 am
When Les Miles turns the Hat Trick, will it be "luck" or brilliance?

I think LSU will win big over Bama in the BCSNCG giving Miles his 3rd in a row over Saban.

Someone said there won't be SEC refs in this game. What refs? And will Alabama be called for holding for the first time this season?

To summarize...
LSU much better than everybody
I agree with this, though we do have our weaknesses. I think LSU would beat anyone they're matched up against (yes, even Alabama AGAIN) but without a potent offense it's a matter of how close the game would end up being.

'Bama probably better but not as deserving as Oregon
I agree somewhat. We have seen how LSU defends against the spread; has Bama been tested this year even? Nonetheless, I think Bama would win vs Oregon.

Stanford definitely better than Arkansas (see last years BCS games + one team returned their QB)
I wouldn't say definitely, but I agree they are better. Arkansas barely squeaked by Vanderbilt and Ole Miss. OLE MISS! That's laughable. Vandy should have beat them by 2 scores easily. They got lucky. However, on a good day, they may be better than Stanford and most certainly they are better defensively.

I think we should do a rematch with both Alabama and Oregon. For the Alabama rematch, it should be a field goal kicking contest.
For Oregon, a speed test: one player from Oregon and one from LSU both line up on the same goal line at different hash marks. One gets the ball. Fire the starters pistol and the guy without the ball must tackle the guy with the ball before he crosses the other goal line. Repeat with all starters. Winner is the one who scores the most TDs.

How do I contact an admin?

I've sent emails to tigerdroppings@gmail.com (as per the "contact us" link) to no avail.

Is there a more reliable method?
I never understood this either. Never had a corn dog and I've never seen them being eaten around Tiger Stadium. Do they even sell them in the stadium? :dunno:
She was way in the lead by about 5%. Fans of other girl must be running some sort of script to move her up there so fast.

LSU - Bama game on Gridiron Classics

2011. 12 min left in 2nd quarter. :geauxtigers:

There are plans to possibly expand the stadium in part to alleviate this problem but nothing has been decided yet.
I understood this to be a requirement to join the SEC.

The 10 semifinalist are:

Ryan Allen (Jr.) - Louisiana Tech
Ian Campbell (Jr.) - UTEP
Steven Clark (So.) - Auburn
Bobby Cowan (Jr.) - Idaho
Scott Kovanda (Jr.) - Ball State
Richie Leone (So.) - Houston
Pat O'Donnell (Jr.) - Cincinnati
Jackson Rice (Jr.) - Oregon
Brian Schmiedebusch (So.) - Bowling Green
Brad Wing (Fr.) - LSU
Couldn't find an NCAA statistic for punts inside the 20.

Wing is ranked 21st in net yards per punt at 43.41 yards. This doesn't take into account the short punts inside the 20, 10, and 5.

Need help cleaning up a photo

Posted by Beastfense on 11/10/11 at 10:05 pm
My friend who served in the navy posted this photograph of his "coworkers." Unfortunately it's the best one he has. I am hoping that someone here could help out and clean it up a bit. I am hoping to surprise him with it.
An NFL Analyst (forgot his name) on Matt Mascona's show said 17.

Happy birthday Les! :drunkards:

Those guys sounded like they were looking for the play by play of Wing and the ladies.
Hahaha, I thought the same thing. Either Wing didn't catch on or he didn't want to get in trouble with his gf.
Good interview! Thanks for finding that! I went looking but came up empty.
