What is the NICEST facility in the Zwolle area or Hemphill area ??
I'd be taking a very good client, so the cost isn't an issue. I'm far more concerned with nice, clean cabins, two separate bedrooms and (as lagniappe - lowest priority) restaurant/bar on-site.

I hate cci blazer 9mm. It ejects into my shirt pocket and it flecks all over my wrist.
I have fired over 100,00 rounds (literally) of Blazer thru G19's. I find it to be the most reliable and cleanest ammo I've ever used - compared to WWB, PMC, Federal and Magtech (all of which are reliable, just a little dirtier.)
One last comment/anecdote. A few years ago I drove to Jerry Miculek's place in Princeton and spent 2 days of one-on-one training with him. Each day an older neighbor/friend would stop by at lunch time and they would shoot at little .22 size steel plates at 50 yards to see who would buy lunch. Both days Jerry borrowed a couple of 9mm Blazer rounds from me to use in the "lunch contest." He told me he wanted the Blazer because he knew exactly where it would hit out of his G19. (This told me he had shot a lot of Blazer thru his G19 and trusted it).

ETA: What model Glock ?? The subcompact model 36 was known for malfunctions if you limp-wristed even a little bit. The Model 21 will let you get by with poorer technique --- the Model 30 falls somewhere in between as far as recoil.

RIP Josey. And thanks to all who worked to make the event happen.

My brother has one of these, and I have to say it's a cool little rifle, but I was disappointed with the accuracy of it.
ALL .22's are ammo-dependent when it comes to accuracy. CCI Mini-Mags (40 grain) shot tightest groups in mine, with one of the Aguila loads and the CCI "Tactical" tying for 2nd best. (But the cheap (36 grain) Wal-Mart ammo is plenty accurate for any plinking.)
After you find what the gun "likes," buy a metric load of it. But keep your test target so you'll have a reminder of 2nd best and 3rd best.
These rifles are plenty accurate. And they are perfect for kids because the stock is adjustable like any AR.

You have a 60 day grace period after expiration to submit renewal or you must start over like a new application. That includes attending a renewal training class
Just remember that you cannot carry concealed during the 60 day "grace period." All you're really avoiding is getting finger-printed again.
quote:Precision started allowing people to shoot AR's on the pistol range -- and they allow these people to uncase their long guns behind the firing line. It's pretty hard to not get swept when three dudes show up together w/ AR's and uncase them on the little wooden benches.
Precision. The range and class is fine. Instructor was fine and no issues. Efficient.
Precision is the only range I've ever used that allows this. I'm sure there are others that I just haven't seen, but it's a basic safety rule that precision ignores so they can bring in more shooters per day. (Range USA doesn't allow this).

Wife and I are proficient shooters and know the laws, multiple renewals already. Always painfully slow
1. Don't get lifetime permit. As was stated, you still have to take class every 5 years -- and you'll go thru background check when you purchase a firearm.
2. If you and spouse remember all the elements of the law 5 years after you took a class, y'all are 1:100,000
3. Go to Range USA. Parts of it will still be boring, but it's a good class. I would not go to Precision - new owners and new manager have very unsafe (and dirty) range.

I'd want to know who cut the slide. Big difference between factory, Larue or shade tree gunsmith.

quote:I'm no expert, but I went into surgery thinking I was getting the "normal" shoulder replacement -- surgeon is highly recommended, probably the best in my AO.
With your rotator damage, why did they opt for the primary instead of reverse to start with?
I woke up with a reverse replacement. Surgeon explained that there was (a) too much loss of tissue from previous rotator cuff surgery and (b) too much damage from the fall that caused me to go to the surgeon.
Luck of the draw (or luck of the injury). Mine's OK, just not as strong as my left shoulder (and I'm right handed). My surgeon said I'm doing better than 99% of his shoulder replacement patients.
I always practice shooting one-handed. But I practiced extra for this one, and bought a left-handed Comp-Tac holster. Hopefully I won't need a firearm - I'm still way below my "norm."
Good luck with your procedure. You need to insist on physical therapy. Some surgeons will send you home with some Thera-bands and an instruction sheet.

failing. Gonna have to have a reverse replacement done in order to fix the problem in two weeks
After 8 months of physical therapy I plateaued at gaining strength. Two-and-a half years later I still have less strength in my right ("strong") shoulder than in my left.
Hope yours goes better. The problem w/ reverse replacements) as it was explained to me, is that they re-attach different muscles, and the the muscles that operate the "new" shoulder are weaker than the ones they detach.

No offense to you or to the lawyer who wrote that review, but three observations:
1. Every CCW coverage firm has attorneys on staff. So any of them could get a lawyer to write a review.
2. CCW Safe is among the worst for CCW coverage. You have to use one of their attorneys, or else get their approval of your attorney.
3. If you allow the CCW "insurance" company to pick your lawyer, and if they arrange a plea bargain that you're not willing to accept (this avoids a trial, and keeps lawyer expenses to a bare minimum), you policy/contract probably says you have no coverage from that point on.
Check our Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network and USCCA. Both are legit - and you get to pick your own attorney (If you don't have one, they have vetted lists of attorneys that you can choose from, if you wish).

The first criterion (assuming you've picked a company that is financially sound) is to make sure you get to pick your lawyer. Having the "insurance company pick, approve or provide an attorney is a real conflict of interest.
