I’ve been using it with success. Chronicled in a couple of threads.

I really like the vibra wedge. Caught many fish with them.

Anyone have success in this bayou?

I almost always catch something there. Focus on downed timber and the base of trees. Work soft plastics a good ways off the bank cause sometimes they are hanging out a little deeper. I have good luck with a cotton candy chartreuse lizard, watermelon colored worms, and watermelon red speed craws.

ETA: If you YouTube search Little Alabama Bayou you'll probably run into a bunch of my videos. I fish there a lot.
I have a pair of neoprene slip on shoes that I got from amazon for about $30. Bought them three years ago and they're still holding up.
That is the perfect ending! :geauxtigers:
I’ll take em however I can get em. :geauxtigers:
Chance for legend status here. C’mon Brown!
I hope we run rule them.

I just got home and went take some pictures. These are the biggest clumps I have and they’ve been looking like this for a couple weeks now. They are also in an area that I didn’t get even coverage when I sprayed. You can still see some green bermuda. I bought some dye to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

We’ll see what another application does. Or if it’ll take 3.

Got a hodgepodge of some other weeds here, too.

And in areas where I got good coverage you can see it smoked the Bermuda, sedges, and everything else that was growing. While leaving the St Augustine looking nice and healthy!

I tried it last year and still had SVB issues. But I’ve heard many success stories. Maybe I did something wrong. I dunno.

Yep

Syngenta claims it will kill Dallisgrass in St Aug.

I used it 4 weeks ago and am about to do a second spray. I had a couple of clumps of dallisgrass in the area I sprayed. They are purple and looking pretty hurt. I’m hoping the second spray finishes them off. But at this point my results specifically with dallisgrass are inconclusive.

I found last year that if you stake squash and have it grow vertical, you won’t get squash bugs. Damnedest thing. I have no idea why it works but it does.

If we're talking about the vine borers, I've heard of many people having success doing it this way. I, however, must be the exception. I've tried it and still had SVBs and squash bugs.

OP, you could try a Pyrethrin spray or Spinosad. Those are both organic pesticides with a short residual. If you spray early in the morning or late in the evening when the pollinators are not active you will not hurt the pollinators. It is a contact killer with little to no residual effects. I've used them both and they work well. For caterpillars you can use a bacillus thuringiensis (AKA Bt, Thuricide) which targets only feeding caterpillars. It basically tears holes in the caterpillar stomach causing them to stop feeding and eventually go septic and die. It's not a quick kill but the caterpillars usually stop feeding shortly after ingesting it. It works very well.

If you look at the stickied garden thread at the top of the page there are other suggestions listed there.

What are you doing to make st Augustine spread to take over the dead spot of Bermuda?

I'm following the Lawn Care Nut's guidance on this. I added some Greene Effect to the initial spray. Then a week later I sprayed the Greene Effect again. Then a week later I spread some Flagship 24-0-6. I've always found his Yard Mastery stuff to be a little pricey, but it is working very well. My St. Aug is looking super healthy and spreading!
