The flow will eventually start cutting a deeper channel and clean it out. Or they just dredge it, send the sediment down to the mouth and distribute it.

Ill never forget, working overseas we got into a spirited debate over guns with a Scottish fella. In the end he admitted he would rather someone be able to come and steal all of his belongings from him then people being able to own guns. When I brought up what about them hurting or killing your family he said he still didn't think guns should be allowed.
I am not sure what they put in the water over there but it has killed all common sense and testosterone.

17% seem like a lot but regardless they need to open that up. I am against big government but in this case it is time for to start moving people out from certain areas on the coast and doing major reclamation and levee removal.
The only thing on the coast in a lot of areas should be industry and recreation, no permanent residents.
