Florida 2023

Per AI
-372 passing yards, 3 TDs
-234 rushing yards, 2 TDs
-606 total yards
He became the first FBS player ever to have 350+ passing yards and 200+ rushing yards in the same game.
* He had an 85-yard TD run and a 51-yard TD run.

Agreed. Fortunately Richard Nelson is now leading the Louisiana Community and Technical College system. He’s an incredibly competent leader. Stars are aligning for the state to continue its positive economic development trajectory.

Looks like Las Vegas is serious about law enforcement. Maybe one day Baton Rouge and NOLA will come around.

Jefferson Parish has drones deployed parish wide.

NOPD already uses them for large events and they are now expanding usage similar to Jefferson Parish. First starting in the FQ then expanding to NO East.

I’ll add Evviva to the mix. Fun spot in the old Franklin restaurant building. Great grilled dishes and homemade pastas. The chefs are Rebecca Wilcomb and Marcus Jacobs.

Per their site:
Rebecca Wilcomb is particularly well known for her acclaimed work at Herbsaint, where she earned a nomination for the James Beard Foundation Best Chef: South award. Marcus Jacobs is also known as the chef and co-owner of Lil’ Dizzy’s Cafe and for his advocacy of local food traditions.

8 years of Teedy and Covid absolutely obliterated the tourism and convention industry here.

Conventions and events have gone elsewhere to avoid the crime and corruption and heat and hurricanes.

Doesn’t jive with this

New Orleans tourists hit highest number since 2019, set spending record.
How does the cost compare to the private club in Baton Rouge? I can’t see this lasting in that neighborhood. There are only so many Metry yats willing to blow that type of coin.
The city has $34 million in the bank account. They could not go into hurricane season with that low of an amount. On the surface this looks like a payday loan, but it’s making the best of a shitty situation this administration inherited. The administration has taken steps to reduce spending, including department consolidation, furloughs for most city employees, and 45% reduction in overtime costs.

One of the few legit ‘nicer’ restaurants in Harahan/Elmwood. Real bummed to see this.
Teams Premium will now turn meeting recordings into podcasts. Much more engaging than listening to an hour meeting on 1.8 speed.

Look at the topics on the OT every day and it is just people bashing whatever idea is out there. In the first 10 posts you get someone wishing some group were all killed or eliminated.

Man, spot on. A site that used to be full of funny and light hearted threads is now filled with dunking on a particular group and yelling at the sky topics.

This lady is in charge of keeping me safe

Looks can be deceiving. She has done a hell of a job stemming attrition and getting them out of the consent decree. She’s also worked well with state and federal resources…breath of fresh air from the previous mayor’s constant confrontational attitude.
The ole boys have one job and they’re shitting the bed. One guy is awkwardly hanging out with the lieutenants.
Ole boy forgot to bow.

it says right in the article the company is bankrupt and closing 8 stores

Please keep any facts and logic out of the OT’s daily anti-New Orleans thread.

Thanks. Assuming Seat Geek is the best platform to check?

Pelican Tickets - January 30

Posted by Tha Herg on 1/25/26 at 9:01 am
I’m hoping to take my two boys to their first Pel’s game this Friday. Tickets on Seat Geek are still ~$150 per seat in the lower bowl and ~$40 in the uppers. Is this the cheapest I can expect or will they decrease as we get closer to gameday?

Windsor Court is my go-to staycation spot. Great service, modern rooms but with a historical feel. Polo Club is a great pre / post diner spot. Central location.
The ONLY silver lining is if this helps him become a one term governor.

The guy that gutted the Southeast Flood Protection Authority to make it a breeding ground for Landry cronyism?
I was surprised at their large supporting ensemble and overall production value. Really polished tight set that was fun and kept the audience engaged throughout. The non -VW song suggestions at the end was great too. Only negative is I didn’t expect them to end at midnight. Babysitter made bank.
