The MIZ vs KSU game was only -3 when lines were released. Everyone has hammered the -3 and its risen to -6. Makes me nervous because
1. vegas doesnt lose
2. Drink will 100% try to pull some bullish to save his arse. If he gets beat 40-12 again in COMO, he knows his time os up.

KU just needs to accept the reality that theyre in the same boat as KSU..
Neither are going anywhere in future conference realighnemtn UNLESS one of them becomes a true football blue blood. And even if that happens (which more than likely won't," the chances would still be super, super slim.

re: Why is the B1G considered so relevant?
Posted by NurdCat on 8/4/23 at 8:44 pm
Because of population density/popularity.
B1G outside of OSU is full of overrated programs that haven't done jack squat the last 30 years.

It will be a consistently overrated league that puts crap teams into top 4 seeds in the playoffs unfortunately though.
I thibk you mean the B1G since they havent done jack in 10 years. The only team from the B1G that isnt overrated is OSU.
UM is the most overrated football school in the entire country.

Super conference is extreme...big 12 is nowhere near the sec or big ten in terms of football, it's not even acc level, the only reason it even seems stable is bc no one wants the teams left in it. If the acc gor can hold up the big 12 is fourth in conference hierarchy. It was fifth the death of the pac 12 is why the big 12 is fourth
Im not sure how you can say the B1G is better than the Big12. Literally the only conference with a win percentage vs the Big12 since 2000 is the SEC. Outside of OSU, the B1G is overrated.
UM hasnt won a bowl game since 2016.
Thwy haven't won a NC since 2014, and only appeared in one in 2020 because OSU only played a whopping 6 games.
Penn State you could argue is the second best team in that conference.
But top to bottom, the Big12 is MUCH better than the B1G. From top to bottom, the FPI has the Big12 as the best conference.
The Big12 will never bring the eyeballs that the B1G does because of population density, but the expanded CFP is going to 100% expose the B1G as fradulent. Guarantee you the CFP is going to be an annual battle between the B12 and SEC.
B1G is filled with 75% mediocre programs that couldnt win the AAC.

TCU, Baylor, OSU? lmao.
KSU has the most conference wins once OU and UT leave. They just won the conference with an average recruit ranking of 55. Chris Klieman is building a really solid program there.
Look for KSU to be one of, if not the elite football school in the new Big12. Utah isnt going to do jack in the new Big12. the Pac12 was the softest P5 conference by far. For reference their SOS in 2022 was #42. KSU was #4.
Its going to be ruled by KSU, MAYBE OSU, and possibly one of the Texas schools. TCU had a flukey 2022. They had six games where they injured the starting QB. Dykes is a good coach, but he isnt elite and will doubtfully ever get them back to where they were in 2022.

A nice "lesser" conference? Lmao.
Pac12 is the worst conference of the current P5's, even with UT and OU leaving, Big12 is night and day better than the Pac12. There is only one conference with a winning record vs the Big12 since 2000. The SEC.

Big12 lead all conferences last year in % of capacity filled with just over 103$.
SEC was second and Big10 third.

2003 BIG12 Championship Game
KSU absolutely dismantled what the media refered to as one of the best teams of all time in OU.
35-7 beatdown. The only CCG loss OU has ever suffered.
KSU.. The only team OU is scared to play in todays landscape. 2022 was probably the last time we'll ever see them play as OU will pull an MU if we get matched in a future bowl game and opt for another bowl.

top to bottom KSU is 100% the best athletic school in KS.
purely basketball, and if you count heating as a sporr, that honor would go to KU.

You think MSU is gonna get past KSU? The team that just beat not only UK but the Zebras.

re: Any Ideas on what happens to the Big12 and PacW?

Not even close. kU is only popular with people who enjoy basketball. KSU is far more popular in KS than KU is lol.
One school needs money from tax payers and their own endowment pool to fund their stadium renovations.
The other can raise that money through donations and doesn't need the states assistance to be relevant in today's landscape.

Damn, not sure what all the hostility is towards KSU. They earned their right into the Sugar bowl. Not sure why Bama fans are crying so hard about it.
Your entire program and fan base needs to stop thinking youre so entitled. I wish opt outs weren't a thing because if KSU stomps UA, all thats going to be said os "KSU only won because opt outs "
The way that KSU is playing right now, and how piss poor Bama has been all year, i'd take KSU +7. They're a tough, disciplined team who were only a few plays away from being undefeated.
I hope KSU beats Bama by 40. Maybe that will humble Saban and co a little hit. Doubtful, but maybe.
