re: Best place to get quality LSU shirts for relatively cheap?

Go to the app store and download DHGates app.
They are obviously made overseas. I was in Omaha and a guy had a baseball jersey that looked legit. Said it was $20. They probably won't have the championship stuff but for baseball jerseys that the team wears, they are legit. Full disclosure, I have never bought anything. Just passing on what a guy in Omaha told me.

re: How do/did you “soak it up” with your kids? Time going fast with kids spin off.

Didn't read the whole thread but I have 4 kids aged 30-23. It's never about the big things, like the Disney trips that cost $7k+. It's the daily small things that matter. Evening meals together 5x a week with the tv off around a table. Sundays after church meal together. Drives to school in the morning( mine went to private school). Simple birthday celebrations always with candles and singing. Conversations about who "we" are as a family and "why" we live like we do at every opportunity. Using every event as an opportunity to reinforce positive values or explain why things aren't good for them. Early introduction of consequences for outright rebellion to authority. Taking a yearly family vacation and doing things with your kids like throwing a baseball in the yard after work. Being present at ball games etc.. IT's the routine daily occurrences of SMALL things that ultimately have the biggest effect on kids. Hugs and I love you's as often as you can.
As we get older, most of us get wiser. We should care less about sports. We don't hardly even remember last years winner of it all in any sport. It's just a pleasant diversion unless there are more important things in life happening. Lot of things become more important as you age, if you are getting wiser and not just older.
Buy a ticket and prepare to drive there.

If the Gumps win: the chicken littles will declare again that the sky is falling, that BK will NEVER win a title here, recruits will leave because we can't compete with NIL , Bryce will choose Meechigan, cries to fire everyone will be heard, dogs and wives in LA will be be verbally abused, stadium will empty in the 3rd qtr, older season ticket holders will be blamed for not cheering, the self esteem of football driven posters will plummet, band wagons will be emptied, players thrown under numerous buses repeatedly , season tickets will not be renewed, Hitler and the laughing spanish talk show video renditions will be done about the game by SEC brethren, did I miss anything?

There used to be a sign that said not to give to the panhandlers, but I’ve noticed that it’s gone. It was located at the light as you exited I-10.

Was 1 of 3 hired as a painter’s helper at a plant in the summer between college semesters. 3 days later a truck with 3 brand new golf carts drove up. We were all laid off the next day.
Just visited friends in Arkansas and rode the Wolf Pen Gap trails on their side by side. Never ridden in one before. Was very enjoyable mornings. Dusty though.
re: Will I die if I fly Breeze Airways?

No, no frills flights. They service slightly smaller less desirable cities. I've flown 2-3 times and no issues.

I have 4 kids from 30 down to 22. Oldest 2 are married and support themselves. Another is getting married this year and moving out. Youngest will be at home for the next couple of years. They are self supporting, except for housing.
I used to follow this guy on YouTube and he's a fairly popular LA fisherman who fishes the march but also some open water. He did a video on why he bought his poling skill, the Ankona Cayenne, it's here

re: Louisiana records nation's highest growth in reading after switching to a phonics based sy

Phonics was a tried and true method of learning to read. Why they ever moved away from it was ridiculous. My kids went to a private school that used it. Now my grandkids go. They all learn to read. It’s impressive to see 4 yr olds begin to sound out words, read signs while driving. Also, when the “new” method didn’t work guess how they taught them? Phonics.
Where did he get the Natural gas burner from with all the brass jets? Is that what he said he bought for $35?
re: How do you effectively control your temper when you find yourself getting angry?
Posted by hofman on 2/20/24 at 8:37 am to TravisKelces Bandaid
This will be a spiritual answer so skip if you want.
The solution is not to work on your anger but to increase your self-control.
Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit from Gal. 5:22-23. It is grown in us by the Holy Spirit through our growing relationship to Him. A lot more could be shared here.
Anger is actually a needed emotion. But we are also admonished to "be angry but sin not". It's not that you are angry, but what you do in response to your anger.

NO way, I spent to much for it so I hang it upside down from hooks in the garage space.
It's such a small school they don't field a football team. They have been pretty good at baseball and basketball but not championship caliber. I think the area likes it that way.
Ego, have 1 acre with carport, driveway and 800sq ft patio.
Love it.
