Auburn is getting too big?

I ran into an Auburn grad in Starkville when his children were visiting MSU. He said he loved Starkville, and it reminded him of what Auburn used to be.

Mississippi State should have two in the top three because Florida stole the gator chomp from Mississippi State.

That article is from 2020. In the 2023 free speech ratings, Miss State is by far the highest in the SEC, and A&M is only considered ‘average’, 40th in the nation. Of course Texas is ranked one of the worst.

We checked out Starkville’s downtown and Cotton District recently during LSU weekend. Looked amazing.

Also ran into an Auburn grad at the game who’s kids were visiting campus. He said he loved Starkville, said it reminded him of Auburn used to be.
The speakeasy off a Starkville back alley was voted one of the “19 Best Cocktail Bars in America You Must Try”.

”If you look down the unnamed alley in Starkville that leads to the back of the police station and you see a light on in the building before it, that’s how you know the Guest Room is open for business”.

I generally like the expansion because of the additional rivalry games and intensity. The biggest impact to W/L record will be adding another SEC game, but on the other hand it appears we will also be moving Alabama and Auburn off as permanent opponents.

I have no sympathy for Aggie tears pleading to be the only SEC team in a state of 30 million while Mississippi State and Mississippi share a state ten times smaller. That being said I generally like the ags.
Reminds me of when Mississippi State whipped that arrogant Texas arse in 1991. Afterwards the State quarterback, Sleepy Robinson, told the Longhorns “If you can't run with the big dogs, you'd better stay on the porch”.
