re: Capitalism is the solution

Genius. Nothing is more capitalist than an embargo
I find it difficult to judge Ja’Marr’s speed because he’s so smooth and often separates with strength and body control late in the route. I’m guessing high 4.4s. But that’s plenty fast, which goes to show how freaky Julio is

Wow. Big, if true
The 18 month presumption, or any presumption, is based on the current available data. We will get a better read on the transmission and morbidity properties in the US population as we test and process more cases, and that projection will change (potentially drastically). We have such a small slice of the data we’ll have in a month—projections are very much subject to change.
Where are you getting a 24 day incubation period? I’ve seen recent estimates that it’s about 5 days, which is similar to SARS. Some people at the tail of the distribution incubated for almost two weeks, but nowhere have I seen a reputable estimate even close to 24 days.

It’s not remotely confusing. You said guys should play better defense instead of giving the hard foul when they get beat. I presented a similar scenario that I suspected you would feel differently about in order to further explore your aversion to the nutmeg foul.
Ariza was assessed a flagrant. I don’t really consider it a bitch move to trade a flagrant for your pride and to prevent an easy look.

All of those transactions are above board, IMO. Trae helping himself to some nuts, Ariza giving him a grown-man shoulder right back, and Trae taking it in stride and shooting his FTs with no fuss.

Whining about it afterwards? Sure, bitch move. But if you’ve got the foul to give, it’s probably worth it sometimes.
Are you not okay with coaches getting technicals on purpose to rally the team/crowd? Should they just coach better?

Why not use every tool in the box? I’m not saying Trae deserves a hard foul there—I’m just saying I understand the desire to save some face if he’s gonna embarrass you like that

I grew up playing soccer, so I definitely respect the move. It clearly works, rather than just being pure flash and disrespect. The disrespect is just bonus :pimp:

I also understand giving him a hard foul, like Ariza did, to send a message. All part of the game.

I feel like we’ve got folks on both extremes. Love it? Hate it?
And why would I be wrong? Do you think process is a Greek-derived noun that ends in -is?
I have no beef with “PRO-CESS”— that seems to be how the Canadians and Brits roll. But I say “PRAH-CESS” like a gd American.

How do you pronounce the plural of "process"?

The same way I would the plural of fortress, sundress, or recess.
I work in medical research, and it’s said almost religiously. These are a bunch of bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD-toting folks. I presume it’s to make the word sound more science-y.
Be honest. I hear it multiple times a day at work and think we’re probably past the point of no return.
