CARTELS are Anti-Banana Hammock!!!

I've lived in AL -- years ago -- but long enough to know that in that state, you're either Bama or War Eagle. Therefore, both programs, fans, boosters, even state politicians - do WHATEVER it takes to make their program better! You add Saban to the Bama mix, and whala -- you have a dynasty.

LSU has absolutely no major rival in state -- just a few pockets of "minimal LSU resisters" (Tulane, ULL, Tech etc.) --

So there isn't a polarization -- i.e., two sides fighting for dominance -- like in AL.

LSU also has too many "cliques" that want something for themselves -- in order for their major support --
There are too many BOS, state politicians, boosters, etc. - that do NOT WORK TOGETHER --- to make LSU unstoppable.

This is evident in past coaching searches with BOS, Boosters, etc.

It wasn't until Emmert arrived, that he said -- "I'm going to do it my way and pick the correct HC" -- that LSU took off.

LSU fans, boosters, state politicians, and the BOS have got to all be on board with the goal of creating the dynasty -- and put their egos away.

Then, LSU will dominate consistently!

There have been numerous occurrences of public schools recruiting -- especially in northern parishes -- especially when the paper industry was booming. BIG programs would entice a kid to come "move" to their district -- and Pops would get a great position @ a paper mill, or Mom would become Asst. to the Mill manager...

Even in Orleans parish, things like this have happened.

ALL -- and I mean ALL great programs do this in some form or another...CHS just got caught (or was "turned in")

EJ is a VERY VERY grounded and polite young man. He's a VERY good teammate, too. He is NOT a person/player who is enjoying all the attention and using it to show off. When he and the other CHS players come to our house, EJ is always thanking us... We love him, and all the guys....He would be a GREAT player for LSU, if that's where he chooses to go.

While the interest in FSU is real... so is our lead for a variety of reasons. FSU might be 2nd, but it is a distant second. If I'm going to cast a wary eye at any school and try to convince him not to visit because of them making up ground it will be AU.

We'll see where he is after other OVs and unofficials after he's had 4 or 5 "flavors of the month". We'll be there with the palette cleanser.

I posted months ago, that EJ was leaning to FSU (at that time) -- b/c Coach Avery Atkins (OL Coach; FSU) had close ties to Fertitta @ CHS.

Now with Cregg gone, could Atkins be a contender for Cregg's replacement??? Hmmmmmm?
