Kiffin was told of this incident by several of his players. The alleged perpetrator on TT (# 11) is black. Officials penalized the wrong team (#11 for OM) who was nowhere near the melee. Kiffin called time out to try and get the correct call by the officials, but like most of the lousy officiating, nothing was overturned. Kiffin was defending his player, just as is Coach McGuire. That is what good coaches are suppose to do.

Throwback to winning days of Johnny Vaught’s great teams. Nobody complained about them then. Billy Brewer, who played for Coach Vaught, brought them out of mothballs, but he never had success as did Vaught. People have been complaining since. I personally like the contrast, but hey, we all have an opinion! P.S. Too much energy being wasted on uni’s. Need more attention on pass defense!

Sincere condolences to the L.S.U. Nation. Vaught accepted blame for the loss because of playing too conservative on a wet field. Most fans of other schools seem to forget these same two teams were rematched in the Sugar Bowl that season with Ole Miss winning 21-0. I second the motion this game should always be played on Halloween weekend, just as the SEC rescheduled Bama vs Tennessee for third weekend in October. That is one way to honor one of the SEC’s all-time great’s. P.S. Re: Punt return, I have learned to expect it as tradition. It get’s us fired up! :lol:
