Agreed, and it started in the late 90's. The 80's were amazing!
One of the worst things about today's cartoons is the animation. Animators are either too lazy, unskilled, or tasteless. Just look at the shapes of characters in the new DuckTales or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles compared to the originals.
I see some mentions of Teen Titans Go. The problem with that series is that it's not Teen Titans. The saving grace for it is that it stars the lovable characters and humor from Teen Titans... which was an absolutely wonderful cartoon.
While I don't want to classify it as a "cartoon," but simply an animated show, Space Ghost: Coast to Coast was also amazing!
Other than a few exceptions, I think I'll stick with Japanese animation/anime if I want to watch modern "cartoons." Fairy Tale is family.

Wow, he used the word "fie." At least there's something to like about him :-)

Chastity belts would prevent rape as well as unwanted pregnancies, so there would never be a "need" for abortions.
Actually, it seems like a government program she could get behind... requiring every female under the age of 18 to wear one. And why not require males to do the same? They are the evil ones, after all, am I right?
Free chastity belts to everyone! Personally, I'd hope they have integral holsters as well, but it seems that people are not responsible enough to carry guns... but they have plenty of restraint when it comes to sex.

Cruz is my choice. Amy if it must be a woman.
If I could choose anyone? Rush Limbaugh, no doubt.
But I still like the idea of trolling the Left... appoint Roy Moore now, and have him retire in 5 years so Trump can replace him with one of the above! :-D

While I really don't like politics or its word games, there is ONE label that they got correct... "The Right"
Unfortunately, they were mistaken on the opposite's label. "The Wrong" is MUCH more accurate than "The Left"... unless you get into the philosophical "sinister" nature of anything that is left-sided.
Really, Leftists labels everything the Right does as "extreme." The truth is that the (true) Right does what is actually right (good). And that's only extreme because the Left is evil.
The (true) Right is actually centrist. It seeks to find the moral balance between the immoral extremes. Anarchy is evil, so is Tyranny.
Can people claim to be on the "Right," yet also be wrong? Of course! That doesn't mean the Right is extreme or wrong. It only means those individuals are misguided or lying.
Truth is truth. Truth is good. Morality is good. Honor is good. Freedom is good. Responsibility is good.
God is the ultimate good. God is good to the extreme. But God is also perfectly balanced. God is perfectly just, yet also perfectly merciful. God is jealous, yet also loving. God is most holy and majestic, yet also dwells with the lowliest of sinners and slaves.
Why do I lean toward the Right side of the scale? Because I see the Right as aligning with God's Truth and Goodness.
Just remember, Right and Wrong are not binary or equal... Right-wing and Left-wing. Right is narrow, Wrong is broad...
What does 2+2 equal?
4 is Right.
3 is Wrong. 5 is Wrong. Everything other than 4 is Wrong.
I'm proud to be part of the "Right." It means I'm following a just standard of truth.
The Constitution may not be perfect, but it's the closest Law we have to perfection. And claiming that someone who will interpret and follow the Constitution as written will actually destroy it... well, that is idiocy beyond fathoming.

re: "Lodestar"....is Pence the traitor??
Posted by Patton Mentality on 9/7/18 at 5:29 am
I find it all absolutely hilarious! All of it. From the op-ed to the 25th Amendment to impeach 45. Just think about it...
If it was Pence, he's trying to control Trump until what? He gets Trump impeached or removed? So he takes over as president? And he's actually got the entire media behind him?
All this talk of Trump's removal is either sheer foolishness or caused by uncontrollable hatred. Why? Because it leads to Pence becoming president. A self-proclaimed man of God. As pro-life, high morality as you can get. NOBODY on the Left would ever, ever, ever accept or want that... not even to get Trump out of office. If they claim otherwise, they are either lying or haven't even thought of it.
In football terms, they would purposefully be trying to take out Jalen Hurts in order to get Tua in the game. Is any anti-Alabama fan THAT crazy???

This. It was WAY too constricted with Jalen. Whatever happened to play-action?
re: Daboll Calling Plays for Tua
Posted by Patton Mentality on 1/9/18 at 12:10 am
Haha, sure. If he had called the same plays for Tua, we would have lost also :-P
Did you not see the junk calls that he gave Jalen?
He started to stink it up for Tua also when it was pass, pass, pass every single play. After the first touchdown, we needed to run the ball and use play-action. Georgia started doubling down on the pass, and it was costing us.

This. Tua got it done tonight. Jalen got it done up to tonight. And the rest of the team did their parts as well! ROLL TIDE!!!
re: Regarding Hurts: A request for my fellow Bama faithful
Posted by Patton Mentality on 1/8/18 at 11:58 pm
I wanted Tua to go in as much as anyone... because the playcalling stunk when Hurts was in.
People will say that the plays were called due to Jalen's lack of skill. Even if there is truth to that, I think the playcalling was setting Hurts of for failure to begin with. It was like giving a baseball player a little stick, and telling him to go hit an MLB pitcher. It will snap in half even if the hitter makes solid contact. At least give him a swinging chance with a real bat. Let him succeed or fail based on his own capability.
Yeah, conservative playcalling for Hurts can be justified in the first quarter. But after your offense is getting dominated for 15 minutes, open up the playbook! If that doesn't work, then put your passer backup in.
So personally, I think Hurts got swindled, and I feel bad for him in the sense that he didn't get the opportunity to push his capabilities to try to win the game.
However, I'm so happy for Jalen, Tua, and the whole team for the win! Tua's the real deal!!! :-D
Also, while many may say Tua is a better QB, I'll say that he is definitely the better passer, and he may be the most talented overall. However, Hurts is also very talented in his own right. They are different types built for different styles. Passing is what was needed tonight. Georgia took away the run. But running and management was needed to get us to tonight. You use different tools and weapons in different situations. Tua was needed tonight. Jalen was needed until tonight. It's a team championship!
ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

I really, really wish he had called many of the same plays for Hurts. I don't believe Hurts is SO bad that he can't hit some of those decent passes.
I blame Daboll for Hurts not succeeding today. It's like he wanted Tua to go in.

So how much of this is Tua and how much is the play calling? I really wish Jalen would have gotten the same calls to see if he could execute. But at least we know Tua CAN!!! :-D

Sometimes you've just got to stick with what got you there. Tua is not prepared for this moment, at all.
I don't even know if that's true.
Garrett Gilbert made it a game for Texas after Colt went down.
Cardale Jones got the job done for Ohio State.
Not sure if Tua is ready, but Hurts doesn't seem prepared either.
I'm not blaming Hurts for this, though. I blame the play calling. It's almost as though Georgia knows exactly what Bama is going to do.

Race has frick all to do with the plot
That's my problem. They changed the plot. They took a classic scene of harmless comedy (Fa Ra Ra), and turned it into political correctness propaganda :-(
Part of me is surprised that "old Ralphie" wasn't played by a woman, explaining that "she" had transgender surgery later in life.
I'm even surprised that they didn't replace the BB gun with something less violent, because... you know... guns are evil and somehow racist when used by a white boy.
Honestly, changing the Fa Ra Ra scene the way they did would be exactly the same as if the dad didn't actually get Ralphie the BB gun, but instead gave him a long talk about how society is safer with fewer guns.

These people are so ridiculously racist, it's amazing!
They just turned immigrants from China into Americans with Asian heritage.
The VAST majority of Asians have difficulty pronouncing an "R" due to the differences in languages. There's nothing racist about that whatsoever.
What they did just says, "Asians are stupid, so we have to Americanize them." I'm surprised they didn't dye their hair blond.

re: Punt formations question
Posted by Patton Mentality on 11/12/17 at 8:39 pm
What I always wanted to see is to use it as a running formation. Put an outstanding punt returner like a Javier Arenas (yeah, I've been wanting it a long time) back to take the snap. Teach him to throw simple screens and to kick the ball 20-25 yards, then go at it.
Depending on the variation of formation, he would have 2-3 waves of blockers, and plenty of room to pick up steam and see the rush before first contact.
Maybe it wouldn't work... but then again...

Mercy? I'm hoping the Vols don't even show up to the game. If they do, there may be a lot of violence on the field. Too many injuries and ejections because the players just don't care.
And if the UT fans still cared this season, there may even be fisticuffs in the stands.
Well, at least that would hark back to the rivalry of old.
