Who have they beaten? People are trying their hardest to compare to 2019 LSU or 2020 Bama. The only semi-impressive win is Bama at home with shady calls. I just don’t see how they get past UGA with the TE’s they have. Honestly, I love this high they are riding because the melt will be better.

Tenner's offense is very, very good. Defense just needs to get a few stops a game, as they have been doing.

UT has a great offense, but their defense is laughably bad.

They're not comparable to 2019 LSU. No team is.

2020 Bama is not much to write home about considering the covid year.

UT easily passes the eye test. I'm not sure if you've watched them play? That being said, I think UGA wins by 10-14 points.

The comparisons are pretty obvious. Good QB the previous year goes nuclear with the help of a few stud receivers

What great defense have they played to be considered great offensively?

Their defense hasn’t played a top tier offense or offense playing great defense. It doesn’t add up. Sure lets hang 40 on teams that aren’t relevant.

Why is that? 2019 LSU didn’t have a great defense. Vandy put up 38 on them. Bama put 41 on the board with a limping Tua.

Are we acting like Alabama sucks on defense now?

They are #14 nationally even after VOLS dropped 567 yards of offense on their heads (Bama hasn’t allowed more than 370 yards to anyone else this year)

VOLS averaged 8.10 yards per play against Bama’s defense while their average against everyone else is 4.25 yards per play

Subtract the Tennessee game from Alabama’s defensive stats and they would be #4 nationally at 256 yards per game and would be ahead of Georgia who is allowing 262 yards per game

Dude...we were expecting to go 8-4 or 9-3 at best. There won't be a "melt"...we are talking 5hit...but have expected to have at least 3 losses to this point in the season...so whatever happens on Saturday is still better than that.

Don’t compare 2020 Bama to anyone.
Playing against COVID riddled teams doesn’t count. Nonsense season

If you can't see why Tennessee is ranked where they are, you need glasses.

The comparisons to 2019 LSU and 2020 Bama do not matter. That's just for fans to discuss.

Tennessee is very very good. There is really no denying that.

the best melt is watching people like you continuing to hate on TN because your precious Tide got beat. and you're still blaming the refs for "shady" calls. GTFO.
If you can't understand why TN is ranked the way that they are, YOU are the one who needs an eye test. Is 2022 TN perfect? absolutely not. Is 2022 TN an aggressive team with great chemistry and a demonstrated history of wins? frick yes.
The vast majority of TN fans aren't going to melt if we don't beat GA because we're all so used to losing. But damn it's been fun beating FL, LSU and Bama and I would have a coronary if we could actually pull out a win on Saturday.
