In regards to Saban, what even add the line "Don't think he was officially offered though.".
They made contact to judge interest and three money at him. If it makes some of you feel better about being turned down, then sure, they didn't officially offer him. Doesn't make sense to me though

If Ole Miss is still in the hunt then Kiffin isn't going anywhere, no matter who has a deadline. He could agree verbally, but can't sign something behind Ile Misses back. He definitely wouldn't tell his team he is leaving at the end of the year either. The longer they win, the longer his name still lingers and there is nothing anyone here can do about it.

I don't think so. Now, with NIL and the playing field being equal, could he excel and get the recruits he wanted? He told a story about hosting a recruiting weekend and having a Sunday Brunch at his house and he and Ms. Terry both talked afterwards and how all the recruits and families wanted to talk about was how much money. He said he knew then it was time to get out. That has only gotten worse.

Let's just all agree that we have several weeks for the bid process to work it's way out with all schools thinking of a backup plan. Kiffen isn't signing anything until his season is over so everyone can continue to outbid each other. He is in a win/win situation. Even if he is staying at Ole Miss, he is smart and going to let them coninute to outbid each other.

Any decent coach is going to be coaching (hopefully) into the playoffs. That means we won't know anything for a while and this board is going to be miserable with the same threads over and over.

If you fire BK now, you can't hire a real coach until their season ends. You want a good coach? They will be in the playoffs and their season will be longer. This would lead to weeks of no recruiting and even the recruits will be wondering about who it would be and their philosophy.
Which is better? I don't have an answer for you. All I know is it isn't a good situation.
