Look, I am a Mississippi State fan through and through so I have no love for the Ole Miss Rebels. That said, there is still a tremendous amount of bias against the Mississippi teams. If Ole Miss had turned the ball over 5 times last night, all we would be hearing right now is how dominate and destructive the Alabama defense is. However since it was Alabama turning the ball over, it is all of sudden because Ole Miss was lucky. Everyone treats us (State and OM) like the nation treats the SEC. If we win a bunch of games (SEC National Titles for sake of analogy) then could we maybe be awesome??? Hmmmm. Not sure. But if we lose one game (SEC losing one Natty game), then are we undeniably terrible? Yes! Look at the obvious evidence!!
 Are you like my friend that believes (with a whole heart I might add) that the McDonalds in Oxford just beats the brakes off the McDonalds in Starkville?
From what I've noticed since we are the "bottom-feeder" of the SEC West, nobody gives two sh*ts about our cowbells until we beat somebody that we usually do not defeat. Then, all of a sudden its, "THOSE COWBELLS ARE CHEATIN' THEY NEED TO BE OUTLAWED!!!! WAH WAH WAH!!! pathetic This is in the same vein as when someone comes to Starkville and defeats State and then talks about how great our fans were and how they enjoyed tailgating with us BUT if we defeated their team, all of a sudden their grandmother was assaulted with cowbells, their wives/children/friends verbally abused and our nasty city gave them prostate cancer.

Hahahaha never thought of it that way, awesome!
Amen to that. Everything they disagree with can be eliminated by not being "politically correct"
Love time lapse videos/gifs/etc. Stadium looks good. South Carolina has a really attractive campus. I've always liked the garnet and black school colors as well

Double standards and hypocrisy are my two biggest pet peeves. No preacher has the right to say that they do not want a person to worship in the church. Everyone sins, as proved by your post. The whole purpose of church is to worship God, seek forgiveness, try to become a stronger christian, and bring others to Christ. Of course, he remembers the whole forgiveness aspect AFTER his little screw up. Unbelievable :banghead:
I live in a dry county in MS. What's funny is that it is surrounded by wet counties. I have heard that beer/liquor/wine companies prefer that our county remain dry. It has come to a vote a few times but the proposal to make it a wet county is always defeated. From what I understand, the alcohol companies feel that they are making money off of our people who drive to wet counties and that they would lose money by having to run delivery trucks into our county when they already get business from our drinkers.
Is no decent character safe?
Thanks for the replies ya'll. I really appreciate the info.
I don't think so. If I understand correctly UT has their main campus and then the one in Memphis. Now, Vandy may have something there but I haven't even looked into them because I would never ever be able to afford them.
I know Arkansas has the program and the set up that I but I forgot that it was in Little Rock, many thanks.
Do any of you have any experience with your school's medical campus? I am considering these places for grad school. UT's is in Memphis, LSU's is in Shreveport, and I believe Arkansas' is on the main campus but I could be wrong. I guess what I am asking is if you think highly of the campuses in these cities and any general opinions of the cities themselves. I am already fairly familiar with Memphis but I know next to nothing about Shreveport or Arkansas' campus. Thanks in advance guys. Oh, and I am not going to medical school, it is just that the graduate program I am interested in is located within the medical complexes.

Yea you are 100 percent right. Still sometimes I feel it is intentional. I know State and ole miss aren't football powerhouses but we are members of the deadliest conference in the nation. So how the hell can "professional sports analyst" keep washington and washington state straight, but get MSU and Ole Miss confused when they are reporting. Such bs.

No man not those. I'm referring to the 10-25 range ranks every year. You know, how usc, notre dame, texas, michigan, etc, etc are always up there but often not for any good reason. I can think of a lot of times State and ole miss were better than many teams along those ranks. We just didn't have the records to get in because of our hard schedules. Many years that we both finished 5th or 6th in the west we could have been 1-3 in other conferences.

I agree with everything you guys are saying (usually do) but it just frustrates me at how people talk. Even the so called "professional sports pundits". I don't understand everyone's deal with looking at the past and names. "you can't beat us because we have beat you for the last three years" How stupid is that? And on names.... certain teams are always pre-season top twenty five no matter what they've done and like with us for example we can't be good because we are Mississippi State. I get the history of losing thing but people focus on a team's name more than a team's performance.

Respect- What does it take?

If we don't beat a western team other than ole miss, we suck. We beat Auburn.....well it just means they just suck worse than us. We beat Lsu.....now they suck too. Can people just not handle admitting we are good? All I heard was hahaha 3-0 wait till you play Lsu. Now it's well ok whatever haha wait till ya'll have A&M. If we beat them I am sure they will all of a sudden be terrible AND we will need to just haha wait till we play Auburn....I mean good Lord. Oh I work with a lot of Lsu fans so I wore a purple tie with a gold tie clip to work Monday. Told them I was doing it out of respect for the dead.
Congrats to all the fathers on this board. A child that has never seen us lose to Lsu, I would have never believed such a being could exist in our world. How do ya'll really see us stacking up against A&M?
