In my area, those transplants have largely been Republicans getting fed up with leftist politics. Those few who are actually Dem find out real quick to stay in their lane.
The real problem are Democrat holdouts from generational families who have voted Democrat since the yester years. They would vote for a declared practicing pedophile if it had a (D) beside it's name.
Not because they believe in that or support the person, but simply because they are a Democrat. Those Moderate Blue and Yellow Dogs haven't quite figured out that their party left them and really doesn't care for them or want their vote.
