Texas A&M is expected to hire Jay Bateman to be the Aggie's new defensive coordinator.
Bateman will join Mike Elko's staff after spending last season as Florida's inside linebacker coach. Prior to that, he was the co-defensive coordinator at North Carolina from 2019-2021 and the defensive coordinator at Army 2014-2018.
Bateman previously worked with Elko at Richmond.
