© Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports
Tennessee fans and politicians weren't too happy about the Vols finalizing a deal for Greg Schiano to be their next head coach, soooooo the school backed out of it. Per ESPN...
quote:

Tennessee has backed out of a memorandum of understanding with Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano to be the Volunteers' next football coach, sources told ESPN's Chris Low.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by both parties Sunday in Columbus, Ohio, and the school had planned to introduce Schiano at a news conference Sunday night.
Like I said, Tennessee fans and politicians weren't too happy about this...

I missed the part where Schiano was convicted of anything. Should have a defamation case against Tennessee coming soon. Not to mention the politicians getting involved with no evidence against the man. I understand the outrage, but the man wasn’t convicted of anything, to my knowledge. Anyway, fine by me. Tennessee will never get a good coach now! Losers!

They might as well just shut down the whole program at this point. #emptyneyland

Tennessee needs to go and hire Tee Martin and I've been saying this since mid October. Martin would be a great recruiter and he has that 1998 NC ring to show the recruits, the mamas, and the dads in all the living rooms across the country. Martin can say, "I know what it takes to win at Tennessee and if you listen to me we will win at Tennessee". There are some truly daft people in charge up there in Knoxville.
